തിരുമല ദേവസ്വം ഹൈസ്കൂൾ കൊച്ചിയിലെ ജി.എസ് .ബി സമുദായത്തിന്റെ അഭിമാനസ്തംഭമാണ് .വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സേവനോത്സുകയുടെ പ്രത്യക്ഷ ഉദാഹരണമാണ് സമുദയാങ്ങങ്ങളുടെ സാമൂഹ്യപരവും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസപരവും മതപരവുമായ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റുന്നതിനായി തിരുമലദേവ സ്വത്തിൽ സൗജന്യമായി വേദ ശാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ പഠിക്കുന്നതി നുള്ള സംവിധാനം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കാലക്രമേണ പ്രാദേശിക ഭാഷയായ മലയാളവും പഠിപ്പിക്യുന്നതിനായി ഒരു ആശാനെയും നിയമിച്ചു.ശ്രീ വെങ്കടാചലപതിയുടെ അനുഗ്രത്തോടെയും അന്നത്തെ മാനേജിംഗ് അധികാരിയായ ശ്രീ.ആർ.എസ്.ഹരി ഷേണായി അവർകളുടെ പ്രയത്നഫലമായും കൊല്ല വര്ഷം 1063 കന്നി ഒന്നാം തീയതി (A D 1887 ) വിജയദശമി ദിവസം തിരുമല ദേവസ്വം വിദ്യാശാല എന്നാ പേരിൽ ഒരു ആംഗലേയ നാട്ടുഭാഷ വിദ്യാലയം പടിഞ്ഞാറെ അഗ്രശാലയിൽ പ്രവർത്തനമാരംഭിച്ചു .ശ്രീ കെ പരമേശ്വരയ്യയായിരുന്നു ആദ്യത്തെ ഹെഡ്‍മാസ്റ്റർ .1894 ഇൽ ഇത് മിഡിൽ സ്കൂൾ ആയും 1899 ഇൽ ഹൈസ്കൂളായും ഉയർത്തപ്പെട്ടു. 1931 ഇൽ സ്കൂൾ പൊതു വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പിന്റെ പരിധിയിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. സ്കൂളിന്റെ കനകജൂബിലി ആഘോഷം 1940 ഇൽ കൊണ്ടാടി. വജ്ര ജൂബിലി ആഘോഷം 1954 ലും കൊണ്ടാടി .1967 ഇൽ പ്ലാറ്റിനം ജൂബിലി ആഘോഷിച്ചു . 1987 ഇൽ സ്കൂളിന്റെ ശതവാർഷികം സമുചിതമായി ആഘോഷിച്ചു.

ഇന്ന് ഇപ്പോൾ ഈ വിദ്യാലയത്തിൽ 30 ഡിവിഷനുകളിലായി 926 വിദ്യാർതികൾ പഠിച്ചുവരുന്നു.യോഗ്യതയും അർപ്പണ മനോഭാവവും ഉള്ള അധ്യാപകരുടെ പരിശ്രമത്താൽ മികച്ച വിജയ ശതമാനം കൈവരിക്കാൻ സാധിക്കുന്നു .

"വിദ്യാധനം സർവ്വധനാത് പ്രധാനം" എന്നാ മഹത് വാക്യം ഉൾക്കൊണ്ട് ഈ സരസ്വതീക്ഷേത്രം മട്ടാഞ്ചേരിയുടെ യശസ്‌തംഭമായി ഉയർന്നു നില്കുന്നു.
