അച്ചന്കോവിലാറിന്റെ തീരത്ത് ഹരിതാഭമായി ശോഭിക്കുന്ന തുമ്പമൺ ദേശം .മലങ്കരയുടെ മഹാപരിശുദ്ധനായ പരുമല ത്തിരുമേനിയുടെ കര്മഭൂമിയാരുന്നു .ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ സാദ്ധ്യതകൾ കണ്ടറിഞ്ഞ അദ്ദേഹം ,1895 ൽ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് സ്കൂൾ ആരംഭിച്ചു .1901 ൽ അത് എം.ജി.യൂ.പി സ്കൂൾ ആയി അറിയപ്പെട്ടു .അതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി 1949 ൽ ആരംഭിച്ച എം ജി ഹൈസ്കൂൾ രണ്ടായിരാമാണ്ടുആയപ്പൊളേക്കും ഹയർ സെക്കന്ററി സ്കൂളായി വളർന്നു .ഇവിടെ നിന്നും വിദ്യ ആർജ്ജിച്ചുലോകത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ വെളിച്ചം പകർന്നു സ്തുത്യർഹ സേവനം ചെയ്തു വരുന്ന പൂർവ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾ എന്നും സ്കൂളിന്റെ അഭിമാനമാണ് .മഹത്തായ 70 വർഷങ്ങൾ പിന്നിട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ വിദ്യാലയം 2019 സപ്തതി വർഷമായി ആഘോഷിച്ചു .. | |||
