CORONA VIRUS DISEASE. COVID-19 is a deadly disease affected the whole world . This disease is caused by a virus and it affects the lungs . COVID-19 indicates CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019 . In the public mind ,the origin story of Corona virus seems well fixed ,in late 2019 someone at the now world famous Huanan Seafood market in Wuhan was infected with a virus from an animal . But there is uncertainty about several aspects of the COVID-19 origin story that scientists are trying hard to unravel , including which species passed it to a human . They 're trying hard because know how a pandemic starts is a key to stopping the next one. Nowadays , 3232,061 cases were reported and 228 , 504 of them were died .In our country ,33610 cases were reported and 1079 were died. But, In our state 495 cases were confirmed and 369 recoveries. And 3 people those affected COVID-19 were died .Kerala has the lowest mortality rate of 0.61% among all the states in India .Kerala 's success in containing COVID-19 has been widely praised . This disease is similar to common cold .The common symptoms of COVID-19 is fever , tiredness and dry cough .Some people may experience aches and pains ,nasal congestion ,runny nose , sore throat and diarrhoea . On average it takes 5-6 days from when someone is infected with the virus for symptoms to show , however it can take up to 14 days . People with mild symptoms who are otherwise healthy should self - isolate or seek medical attention . Now our country is in lock down to prevent and control the virus .It means that 'Staying at home , can save lives and helps to stop Corona virus . Social distancing must be maintained in our society . We can prevent the spreading of Corona virus by these methods 1. Staying at home 2. Keep safe social distancing 3. Wash hands using soap or handwash 4.
