Recounting Pesah – The passing over
Pesah the passing over of hardship
Alike the persecutor and the persecuted
A release and relief for the down trodden
And a hardship returned to the oppressor.
First lock down for the Israelites
For surviving the plague inflicted
For the redemption foreseen
Filled the obedience to the harbinger.
Sharing with the neighbour
Preventing wastage
Practising fraternity
During night the plague passed by.
Signs of nine were neglected
The tenth brought a massive curse
Sliced First born of cattle to crown
For the arrogant Egyptian sucker.
The oppressed were freed
After one night lock down
To feel an air of liberty
Dreaming a fine land of prosperity.
Again pesah the passing over
Of persecution, of perseverance
Sacrificing the self and soul
For a greater course and for humanity.
A lock down for salvation
A self sacrificing for society
Self accorded humiliation
For the prosperity from calamity.
The time Recounts the pesah again
Some neglected signs some followed it
Redemption secured the obedient
Who followed at ones the signs.
A lock down tempting perseverance
A plague around us do masquerade
Imposes severity undefined
Demand us another passing over.
A call of self care for social care
Self sacrifice for a greater course
Pleading lock down for humanity
Leaving behind the self concerns.
Let us do our part
Share with our fellow
Save wastage by care
To save for the hard time coming.
Pesah followed prosperity
It succeed resurrection
Sure we will Pass this pesah too
And wake up into bright sunlight.
For we didn’t missed the call
We perceived the signs
People of persecution surpassed
Remember, Will surpass this gravity too.
Hope lights its candle
Beacon blinks at the sea
Stars lights to the shore
Sure we will pass over – the pesah.
