ഗവ.മോഡൽ. എച്ച്.എസ്.എസ് വെങ്ങാനൂരിലെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ക്ലബ്ബായ ഹൊറൈസൺ വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളെ ശരിയായ പാതയിൽ നയിക്കുകയും വളരെ ആത്മവിശ്വാസത്തോടെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഭാഷ ഉപയോഗിക്കാനും അവരുടെ വ്യക്തിത്വത്തെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്താനുമുള്ള അറിവ് പ്രധാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു. വിവിധ മത്സരങ്ങളിലൂടെയും ക്രിയാത്മകമായ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിലൂടെയും വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഭാഷ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതിന് പരമാവധി അവസരം നൽകുക എന്നതാണ് ഹൊറൈസൺ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്. ഭാഷാ വൈദഗ്ധ്യം പരിചിതമാക്കാൻ പഠിതാക്കളെ ഇത് എല്ലായ്‌പ്പോഴും സഹായിക്കുകയും അവരുടെ ഭയം വേരോടെ പിഴുതെറിയാൻ സഹായിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.കഠിനാധ്വാനത്തിന് പകരമില്ലെന്നും വിജയത്തിന് കുറുക്കുവഴിയില്ലെന്നും എന്ന ചിന്ത ഹൊറൈസൺ എപ്പോഴും ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിക്കുന്നു.

2019-2020 അധ്യയന വർഷത്തേക്കുള്ള ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഫെസ്റ്റ് 2019 ഒക്ടോബർ 5 ശനിയാഴ്ച സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. മികച്ച അധ്യാപകനുള്ള കേരള സംസ്ഥാന അവാർഡ് ജേതാവ് ശ്രീ.ജോസ്.ഡി.സുജീവ് ആയിരുന്നു മുഖ്യാതിഥിയുംഉദ്ഘാടകനും. യുവമനസ്സുകൾക്ക് അവരുടെ കഴിവുകളും സർഗ്ഗാത്മകതയും പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കാൻഫെസ്റ്റ് വിപുലമായ അവസരമൊരുക്കി. ഒന്നു മുതൽ പത്താം ക്ലാസ് വരെയുള്ള വിദ്യാർഥികൾ തങ്ങളുടെ മികച്ച ക്ലാസ് റൂം പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളായ സ്കിറ്റ്, കൊറിയോഗ്രാഫി, പദ്യപാരായണം, പാനൽ ചർച്ച, സംവാദം എന്നിവ കുറ്റമറ്റ രീതിയിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.

ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് പാഠപുസ്തകത്തിലെ കവിതകളുടെ നൃത്തരൂപം എൽ.പി.വിഭാഗം വിദ്യാർഥികൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത് ഏവരുടെയും ശ്രദ്ധ ആകർഷിച്ചു. യുപി വിഭാഗം വിദ്യാർഥികൾ നടത്തിയ പാനൽ ചർച്ചയും സംവാദവും നിരൂപക പ്രശംസ പിടിച്ചുപറ്റി ഷേക്സ്പിയറിന്റെ പ്രശസ്ത സ്ത്രീ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ കാണാൻ പ്രേക്ഷകർക്ക് ഹൈസ്കൂൾ വിഭാഗം ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്ക്ലബ്ബ് അംഗങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച നാടകത്തിലൂടെ അവസരം ലഭിച്ചു. വിദ്യാർഥികൾ തയ്യാറാക്കിയ ആകർഷകമായ ക്ലാസ് റൂം ഉൽപ്പന്നങ്ങളുടെ പ്രദർശനവും നടത്തി. വിദ്യാർത്ഥികളുടെ ആത്മവിശ്വാസവും ആശയ വിനിമയ ശേഷിയും വർധിപ്പിക്കാൻ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഫെസ്റ്റ് ശരിക്കും സഹായിച്ചു എന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ സംശയമില്ല. ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഫെസ്റ്റ് വൻ വിജയമാക്കി തീർക്കാൻ പ്രഥമാധ്യാപികയുടെയും ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ക്ലബ് അംഗങ്ങളുടെയും അധ്യാപകരുടെയും രക്ഷകർത്താക്കളുടെയും കൂട്ടായ പ്രവർത്തനത്തിലൂടെ സാധിച്ചു. ഈ ഒത്തൊരുമയാണ് ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് ഫെസ്റ്റ് ഏവർക്കും അവിസ്മരണീയ അനുഭവമാക്കി തീർക്കാൻ സഹായിച്ചത്.

-The English Club conducted the English Fest for the academic year 2019-2020 on 5 October 2019, Saturday. Mr. Jose. D. Sujeev, Kerala state Best Teacher Award winner was the chief guest and inaugurator. The Fest gave an ample opportunity for the young minds to showcase their talents and Creativity. The students from class I to X presented their refined classroom activities. It included skit, choreography, recitation, panel discussion, debate etc. Choreography of the textual poems presented by the LPsection students made everyone happy and cheerful.
-Panel discussion and debate conducted by the UP section students won the appreciation of everyone. The audience also got a chance to view the famous female characters of Shakespeare on the stage in the form of a skit presented by High School Section club members. It attracted each and everyone present there. The students also conducted an exhibition of classroom products prepared by them on charts. The English Fest really helped the students to boost up their confidence level and enhance their communication skill. On the whole the Fest was a grand success.
