Other than providing news , each newspaper has its editorials and articles on various current topics which educate the readers. They also influence the thinking of readers .They increase our knowledge . They promote literacy. Newspapers provide us all sorts of information ,local,national and international . They keep us informed about what is happening in other parts of country and around the world. The newspaper builds the nation and guides the government of a country. They point out mistakes. Newspapers are mirrors of public opinion too. Newspapers are the watch dogs of democracy.Through their columns , public can present their views. All newspapers have the prime responsibility to report correct news and not to distort or misrepresent correct information . As a reader , we must always be on guard to check whether what is reported is true or false.
