MAN AND ENVIRONMENT Nature is an important and integral part of the universe.It is one of the greatest blessing for human life.Above all, it is rich and vibrant and consists of both living and non-living things. Every form of nature, for instance, the plants,animals, mountains, rivers, fields, insects and micro organisms all equally significant for us. So it is our duty to protect nature. But unfortunately most of the activities of human beings destroy the entire nature. A disaster is a hazard resulting significant physical damage or destruction,loss of life, or drastic change to the environment. Disasters fall into two major categories. These include man-made and natural disasters. A natural disaster is an occurrence that causes harm to society. There are many natural disasters that damage the environment and the people living in it. Some of them are earthquakes, floods, cyclones, tsunamis, landslides, volcanic eruption, etc. Man-made disasters are disasters due to result of human intent, negligence or involving a failure of man made system that leads to suffering and environmental damage. Man-made disasters are the consequence of technological or human hazards. Fires, transport accidents, industrial accidents, and nuclear explosions or radiation are some examples resulting the human hazards. Man always exploit nature cruelly for his selfishness. Nowadays the corona virus outbreak has brought the world to a halt. It is said to be a bio weapon. If so this epidemic is also a man-made hazard. Covid-19 outbreak has caused global panic. If nature has the ability to protect us, it is also powerful enough to destroy the entire mankind.Man's power, money, authority, technology, weapons.....all become futile in the presence of a micro organism named corona. So we have to learn a lot. Nature is a gift of God.
