Is this virus new to us?

Actually, it has appeared as SARS in 2003 in Hong Kong and as MERS in 2012 in Abu Dhabi. Now it has made its return in 2020 has Covid-19 in Wuhan. It belongs to the same family from which it comes in three different forms.

How or why is Covid-19 more fatal than its counterparts?

The main reason is the risk of community - acquired infection is very high with this virus. This is why people consider this as a dangerous virus as it can be easily spread.

What is community - acquired infection?

This means you don't have to be around the infected person since this virus can just spread throughout the community.

Are we gonna die if we are getting this virus?

Let's take 100 patients with Covid-19, 83 of them do very well. That means they don't have any problems at all. They might have mild fever, sore throat, cough and they will be sick for 2-3 days and then they would recover completely. No problem for them. But for the remaining 17 patients would have some serious problems, out of which 15 patients might continue to develop complications. In essence, if the virus stays in your body for more than 3 days, it starts to harm your lung cavity and start. to have pneumonia, high fever and shortness of breath at which you might need hospital admission. The most important category of patients is those 2% on whom this virus can cause severe illness or a situation where they can't be saved. This 2% people do not belong to the ‘healthy people category’. They are mainly patients who are more than 60 years and the elders and patients who have diabetes, hypertension, and liver diseases. They are at higher risk.

How can we prevent this virus?

There are two ways for this virus to spread. They are mainly:-

  • Coughing and sneezing.
  • Contact with the objects or surfaces on which the infected person must have come in contact with.

If you confront anyone of these situations and you carelessly touched your eyes, nose or mouth without washing your hands, you will get COv.

So as to prevent it, if you come across a COv patient, stay away from them (atleast 6 feet). If you want to rub your eyes or to touch your beautiful face, wash your hands with alcohol-based sanitizer and do it.

Again, wash your hands before putting anything inside your mouth (wash your hands for 20 seconds). And the last improve your immunity.

How can we improve our immunity?

  • Get 7 hours of sleep.
  • Perform in physical activities for 150 minutes or till your heart beats really fast.
  • Include food rich with vitamin C like citrus fruit.

Can we travel to other countries?

No, especially to China, South Korea, USA, UK Etc.

Are mask helpful? Of course, if you are sick, wear it. If you are not, no need.
