ചരിത്രം
കുറ്റ്യാടിയില്‍ നിന്നും 5കി.മി.അകലെ മലയോരമേഖലയായ കായക്കൊടിയില്‍ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു എയ്ഡഡ് വിദ്യാലയമാണ് കെ.പി.ഇ.സ്.ഹൈസ്ക്കൂള്‍.
1982ലാണ് ഈവിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിതമായത്.കായക്കൊടി പഞ്ചായത്ത് എജുക്കേഷണല്‍ സൊസൈറ്റിയാണ് വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്.
കുഞ്ഞിക്കലന്തനായിരുന്നു ആദ്യ പ്രധാന അദ്ധ്യാപകന്‍. വി.കെ.കുഞ്ഞമ്മദ് മാസ്റ്ററുടെ രൂപകല്പനയിലും മേല്‍നോട്ടത്തിലും വിദ്യാലയത്തിന്റെ
ഇപ്പോള്‍ നിലവിലുള്ള പ്രധാന കെട്ടിടം നിര്‍മിക്കപ്പെട്ടു. 2000-ത്തില്‍ വിദ്യാലയത്തിലെ ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറി വിഭാഗം പ്രവര്‍ത്തനമാരംഭിച്ചു.
ഭൗതികസൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍
മൂന്ന് ഏക്കര്‍ ഭൂമിയിലാണ് വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഹൈസ്കൂളിന് 25 ക്ലാസ് മുറികളും ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറിക്ക് ഒരു കെട്ടിടത്തിലായി 8 ക്ലാസ് മുറികളുമുണ്ട്. അതിവിശാലമായ ഒരു കളിസ്ഥലം വിദ്യാലയത്തിനുണ്ട്.ഹൈസ്കൂളിനും ഹയര്‍സെക്കണ്ടറിക്കും കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ ലാബുകളുണ്ട്. ഏകദേശം ഇരുപത് കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറുകളുണ്ട്. ബ്രോഡ്ബാന്റ് ഇന്റര്‍നെറ്റ് സൗകര്യം ലഭ്യമാണ്.

കായക്കൊടി പഞ്ചായത്ത് എജുക്കേഷണല്‍ സൊസൈറ്റിയാണ് വിദ്യാലയത്തിന്റെ ഭരണം നടത്തുന്നത്. കെ.ടി. അബൂബക്കര്‍മൗലവിയാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ മാനേറായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു.ഹൈസ്കൂള്‍ വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ ഹെഡ്മാസ്റ്ററാണ് എന്‍.കെ.അശോകന്‍ ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറി വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രിന്‍സിപ്പള്‍ കെ.ഗോപാലനാണ്
