COVID-19 THE PANDEMIC "All we have to decide is what to do with time that is given to us" Pandemic is an break of a disease that occurs over a wide geographic area and effects and exceptionally high proportion of the population.There were number of pandemic in 20th century on (1918) it was known as Spanish flu.But the best known pandemic was BlackDeath it was during 14th century.World health organisation (WHO) has the right to declare the pandemic as they recently declared a pandemic named Covid-19. Virus is a small to been seen without a special instrument (microscope) that causes diseases in people ,animals and plants.Many germ disease are caused by virus.Measles,chicken pox,small pox etc and common cold are also caused by virus.Virus cause many diseases by destroying the body cells.Official names have been announced for the virus responsible for Covid-19 (previously it was known as 2019 novel coronavirus and the diseases it causes. This virus is severe acute respiratory syndrome Coronavirus2 (SARS-COV-2).Coronavirus are a large family of virus that are known to cause illness ranging from common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). Covid-19 generaly develop signs and symptoms,including mild respiratory symptoms and fever on an average of 5-6 days after infection.Most people infected with Covid-19 virus have mild disease and also recovered. Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) is a new strain that was discovered in 2019 and has not been previously identified in humans.People of all ages can be infected by this virus (2019-nCov). But the people with medical issues appear to be more vulnerable to becoming ill with the virus (covid 19). WHO announced as the name of new disease in 11, Feb 2020.There is no vaccine for coronavirus as a disease is new, there is vaccine until one is drveloped.It can take a number of years for a new vaccine to be developed. As available preliminary information, the median time from onset to cilinical recovery for positive cases is average 2 weeks and 3-6 weeks for patients who has severe or critical diseases. The outbreak of (Covid-19) was first indentified in Wuhan ,china in Nov 2019.As of April 22,2020 more than 2.56 million positive cases of Covid-19 has been reported in 185 countries and territories and as resulting more than 177,00 deaths and more than 686,00 people have recovered in all of 19,984 positive cases ,3870 recoveries and 640 deaths in the country. </[> In India the first case of corona virus pandemic was confirmed in the state Kerala on Jan 30 2020. As of 20 April 2020, 407 positive cases are confirmed with 291 recoveries and 2 death cases and Kerala has the lowest mortality rate of 0.47 among all the States in India. Due to this great pandemic all over the world and country the Indian government imposed full lockdown for 40 days. As after Punjab, Maharashtra and Assam, Kerala became the fourth state to impose the complete lockdown. The lockdown is kept to minimise the spread of virus as all borders kept closed. A lockdown is an emergency protocol that usually prevents people or informat from leaving an area. A full lockdown usually means that the people must stay where they are and may not even enter or exit a building or room . The lockdown was all kept before in many countries. Due to lockdown the country is facing the scarcity of food.many people do not have jobs or money. Some people who are working for us to sacrifice their life to protect us as police and health departments doctors and nurses who are real heros. They are working full night and day to overcome this big pandemic. The only thing that we can do is clean your hands often,use soap and water. Maintain a safe distance from anyone who is coughing and sneezing.Do'nt touch your nose ,mouth or eyes. Cover your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue if you cough or sneeze. If you have any problem in breathing,cough or fever seek medical attention. SO STAY HOME...
