COVID-19 Some Facts
At first we have to know what is epidemic and pandemic. Epidemic is the event in which a disease is actively spreading and often used to describe problem that has grown out of control whereas, pandemic is related to geographic spread and it describes disease that affects a whole country or the entire world. So COVID-19 is pandemic disease.

The corona virus family illnesses ranging from the common cold to more severe disease. They circulate in animals and some can be transmitted between animals and humans. Several corona virus are circulating in animals that have not yet infected humans. The new corona virus, the seventh known to affect humans, has been named COVID-19. The virus is named so, because the virus is in the shape of a crown. Corona means crown. Symptoms - Common signs of infection include fever, coughing and breathing difficulties. - In severe cases, it can cause pneumonia multiple organ failture and death. - The incubation period of COVID-19 is thought to be between one to 14 days. It is contagious before symptoms appears, which is why so many people get infected. Infected patients can be also asymptomatic, meaning they do not show any symptoms despite having the virus in their systems. Origination China alerted the WHO to case of pneumonia in Wuhan on Dec 31, 2019.COVID-19 is thought to have originated in a seafood market where wildlife was sold illegally. On Feb 7 2020, Chinese researchers said the virus could have spread from an illegally trafficked pangolins, prized in Asia for food and medicine. Scientists have pointed to either bats or snakes as possible sources. On Jan 11 2020 China announces 1st death and on Feb 7 2020 Chinese doctor and whistleblower Li Wenling dies. And on Feb 11 WHO names virus COVID-19. In India on March 24 , PM Narendra Modi announces complete lockdown till April 14, and now it is extended to May 3rd. According to the record of WHO America records high number of death. World confirmed 2,056,055 cases,134,178 deaths, 511,0190 recovered and in India, 12,380 confirmed, 414 death and 1,489cured cases. In India Maharashtra have high number of cases and death. Compared to other states of India Kerala is better, Kerala confirmed around 300 cases and around 200 cured cases and 2 death. Also corona virus have spread to 210 countries and the number of death in UAE is increasing day by day. Precautions The WHO recommends basic hygienes such as regularly washing hands with soap and water and covering mouth and nose with your elbow when sneezing and coughing. Maintain social distancing Avoid unnessary, unprotected contact with animals and be sure to thoroughly wash hands after contact. Conclusion Let's hope we can defeat this virus.
