2016-17 അദ്ധ്യയനവര്‍ഷത്തില്‍ സാമൂഹ്യശാസ്ത്രക്ലബ്ബിന്‍െറ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍വ്വാധികം ഭംഗിയായി നടത്താന്‍ ക്ലബ്ബ് കണ്‍വീനര്‍ സീനടീച്ചറിന്റെയും ജോയിന്റ്കണ്‍വീനര്‍ സുനിതടീച്ചറിന്‍െറയും നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. | |||
ജൂണ്‍ 5 പരിസ്ഥിതിദിനം മുതല്‍ പ്രധാന ദിനാചരണങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം തന്നെ അനുയോജ്യമായ പരിപാടികള്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ക്കായി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു. | |||
വായനാദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് പത്രവായനാമത്സരത്തില്‍ ധാരാളം വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുകയും പ്രസ്തുതമത്സരത്തില്‍ ഒമ്പതാം ക്ലാസ്സ് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥി അമല്‍ എം കെ സമ്മാനാര്‍ഹനാവുകയും ചെയ്തു.ചാന്ദ്രദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ക്ലാസ്സ് തല ക്വിസ്സ് മത്സരം ,പോസ്റ്റര്‍ രചനാ മത്സരം,'ചന്ദ്രനിലേക്കൊരു യാത്ര' – ഉപന്യാസമത്സരം എന്നിവ നടത്തുകയുണ്ടായി. 10 സി ക്ലാസ് വിദ്യാര്‍തഥികളുടെ പാഠഭാഗാവതരണത്തോട് ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട റോള്‍പ്ലേയാണ് ഹിരോഷിമാദിനത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം കുട്ടികളിലേക്കെത്തിച്ചത്. | |||
പതിപ്പ് തയ്യാറാക്കിയും പതാക നിര്‍മ്മിച്ചും റാലി,ക്വിസ് മത്സരം,ദേശഭക്തിഗാനാലാപനമത്സരം എന്നിവ നടത്തിയും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യദിനം ആഘോഷപൂര്‍വ്വം കൊണ്ടാടി.ഇന്ത്യയുടെ മാതൃക, സ്കൂള്‍ ഗ്രൗണ്ടില്‍ വരച്ച് അതിനുളളില്‍ കുട്ടികളെ അണിനിരത്തി ദേശഭക്തിഗാനം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത് വേറിട്ട ഒരു അനുഭവമായി. | |||
സ്കൂള്‍ തല സാമൂഹ്യശാസ്ത്രമേളയില്‍ സ്വയം നിര്‍മ്മിച്ച മാതൃകകളുമായി കുട്ടികള്‍ വളരെ താത്പര്യത്തോടെ പങ്കെടുക്കുകയും മേളയിലെ ഒാരോ ഇനത്തില്‍ നിന്നും കണ്ടെത്തിയ മത്സരവിജയികളെ ഉപജില്ലാ ശാസ്ത്രമേളയില്‍ പങ്കെടുപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.ഉപജില്ലാ ശാസ്ത്രമേളയില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്ത് ഉയര്‍ന്ന വിജയം കരസ്ഥമാക്കിയ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ | |||

ആര്‍ക്കൈവ്സ് വകുപ്പ് ചാവക്കാട് മണത്തല സ്കൂളില്‍ വെച്ച് നടത്തിയ ചരിത്രക്വിസ് മത്സരത്തില്‍ അമല്‍ എം.കെ,ബ്രിസ്റ്റോ ബ്രൂസ് ടി എന്നിവര്‍ ഒന്നാം സമ്മാനത്തിനര്‍ഹരായി.ഗാന്ധിജയന്തി ദിനത്തില്‍ പരിസരശുചീകരണം നടത്തുകയും നവംബര്‍ 14ന് ശിശുദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് നടത്തിയ റാലിയില്‍ സാമൂഹ്യശാസ്ത്ര ക്ലബ്ബംഗങ്ങള്‍ പങ്കെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. | |||
