Environmental hygiene and immunity
Through time we have faced a lot of immune defficiency diseases and it is suggested that the factors of the environment are contributing. Environment encompasses not only our surroundings but also the things we eat,drink and breathe. For the past 100 years we can see a huge increase in diseases that haven't been seen at any other time in human history. No one knows for sure what is behind it but scientists are now discovering that human brought environmental changes may play a major role. The immune system is an organ that responds to environmental exposures. The living world changes in terms of both environment and human populations and the immune system struggles to adapt to it respectively. Air pollution exposure is found to be associated with a lot of immunity related diseases. Researches show thar tiny air pollution particles can trigger immune sysytem cells that cause inflammmation. Also the rapidly urbanizing regions in the world may be one of the most pronounced fingerprints of environmental change. The exact reason for the increased disease risk due to urbanisation or pollutions are not clear. But in the last decades scientists have started to think about the environment as two entities-the one around us and the one inside us. They claim that everything that comes into our body has to go to through the microbes and that a bad balance of microbes can lead to an errant immune response. Thus we can see that environment changes and human Immunity are interrelated. The water we drink,air we breathe,food we eat etc plays a role in our immune-environment relationship. That knowledge,along with knowledge of the most important environmental risk factors,could be used to both prevent disorders and decide treatment for afflicted individuals-helping to stem the rise of these devastating disorders and reduce the growing toll they take on human lives around the world. Hence it is made clear that a healthy and hygienic environment leads to a healthy life.
