Think Today For Better Tomorrow Nature is an important and inevitable part of mankind. There is no exaggeration in this definition of Nature-a cradle for not only mankind but also for the whole species .The importance and glory of nature isn't recognised by mankind . What makes 'the blue planet' differ from other planets is that it can evolve and sustain life in it. Moderate temperature, abundance of essential gases and Ozone layer which act as a protective blanket are some fundamental factors that favours life on earth. Development is which the human defines as the process of creating something new or advanced,which creates growth, progress and saves time, energy ,money and so on. It will not be wrong to say that development will improve the standard of living condition of mankind . But what's the use of money and growth if there is no mankind? For the sake of development man is destroying the very basic feature of earth which maintains the existence of life. The consequences of development is much more than its benefits. Climate change ,global warming which indeed cause flood, drought ,crop failure, famine and epidemic are the leftovers of aggressive development. The regular climatic pattern of the earth, seems to be vanishing. It adversely affects the seasonal animals and plants. It is evident from the irregular arrival of migrant birds, unexpected climatic changes etc.The regular climatic pattern of the earth is under threat which is in fact a threat to the planet's ecosystem and future mankind. Increase in greenhouse gases is the sole reason for climate change and global warming. The protective blanket Ozone layer is getting damaged due to increased human activities. Greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane is increasing mainly due to aggressive industrial activities.Deforestisation for selfish motives of man and excessive use of fuels also increase the amount of green house gases .Climatic change leads to melting of ice caps. Melting polar ice cap adversely affect the ecosystem in the polar region. It will further increase the frequency and intensity of flood and drought.A flood which is accompanied by cropfailure,drought,famines ,epidemic and massive destruction to life and property can root its origin to climate change. The rich biodiversity of nature is in grave danger due to man's activity to achieve rapid development. In short the man is threatening the fundamentals of life which inturn question his own existence. Development is needed, but the path of development which threaten our own existence in this planet should be forbidden.If we want to sustain the nature for future generation or the future generation to sustain in the nature, we need to pursue 'sustainable development'. Save and preserve the beautiful earth for the future generation as our precursors gifted it to us. Always remember there is no other planet like earth to live in.
