Environment Our natural environment consists of all living and non living things occurring naturally. Environment comprises of interaction of all living species, climate whether etc. That affects human survival and other activities. Our mother earth is currently feeling a lot of environmental problems. The environmental problems like Global warming, acid rains, air pollution, water pollution climate change and many more affect every living organism and their surroundings. Man has exploited natural resources like minerals, forests, water and agriculture to meet their basic demands- food, water, shelter etc. Water is very necessary for life. It is polluted by domestic wastes, industrial wastes, agricultural discharge, toxic metals etc. This may cause serious health hazards to living things that relay on this water for their needs. Another important problem faced by environment is air pollution. Our environment is polluted by various gases released by industries and also from vehicles. Air gets mixed with sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide ,dust etc that pollute the atmosphere which may in turn cause acid rain .Over the past fifty years ,the global temperature was increased at fastest rate than the average temperature of Earth’s climate system. This is referred to as Global warming, which is a serious environmental issue. Sound pollution is also very harmful loud sounds of buses, trains, aeroplanes cause sound pollution. The loud noise of heavy machines in factories, industries etc can sound pollution. Too much sound affects our nervous system and causes deafness and mental disorder. The ozone layer protects our environment from harmful UV rays, depletion of ozone layer. Various other problems like deforestation, green house effect, health hazards etc are cause of environment Environmental pollution is the greatest problem faced in today’s lives .Public awareness is a must to prevent pollution.
