Minnu was on her way to her favourite water theme park. It was a beautiful sunny Sunday in the long summer vacation. Her sister neethu was also with her. As usual her father was driving and her mother was making sure that the way is correct. They covered half the way to the water theme park, that was when minnu got hungry neethu was not hungry. Their mother took a burger from the boot of the car. Their mother was expecting somebody would be hungry on the way, so she packed some food. She was about to give the burger to Minnu, that was when she shouted “I need two of them.” “Ok ,ok,” her mother said, “but you should complete it...” | |||
The car started to rush and she started to eat it fast. She finished a burger and a half of the another. She was so full and her mother was happy that she completed one and a half. So she said Minnu to throw it out. She did so and they continued their journey. Alas! a piece of burger falling to the street, a poor boy rushed and took it. He was so hungry as he ate it really fast. The last time he ate food was like 2 to 3days back, when a kind lady lend him a bottle of mango juice. So he sure was hungry. Even the food he got was the left over food that somebody ate, he thanked them from the depth of his heart. He remembered the number of the car and waited for the car to come back to thank them. He was not sure they will come back, but still he didn’t loose his hope. | |||
His waiting was not wasted. They came back. He stopped the car. Everyone got out. Then he told what happened and said, “you were helping me without realising.”Tears ran out of everybody’s eyes. Neethu and Minnu rushed to the boot and took some food and water and gave him. That was a happy day for every one. After getting home, they sat with their parents and promised that they would never waste food. Then their mother said, “see my children, if I gave you an ipad and food, you would select the ipad as you could eat food whenever you want. But you would select food, if you haven’t got food for one or two days. You should think what the poor search for, when you waste food. If you remember the poor searches for food you would never waste food, as this incident is in your mind.<br /> | |||
