പശ്ചിമഘട്ട മലനിരകളുടെ ഭാഗമായ പൈതൽ മലയുടെ താഴ്വാര പ്രദേശമായ കാപ്പിമലയിലാണ് വിജയഗിരി ഗവ. യുപി.സ്കൂൾ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത് .1966ൽ ആലക്കോട് രാജയെന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന അന്തരിച്ച ശ്രീ.പി.ആർ.രാജവർമ്മ രാജയാണ് സ്കൂളിന് രണ്ടേക്കർ സ്ഥലം സൗജന്യമായിനൽകിയത്.നാട്ടുകാരുടെ കൂട്ടായ ശ്രമഫലമായി സ്കൂളിന് കെട്ടിടസൗകര്യം ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും 1975 ൽ സ്കൂൾ അപ്പർ പ്രൈമറി സ്കൂളായി അപ്ഗ്രേഡ് ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തു. | |||
