MY LOCKDOWN DAYS

Never had I imagined in my wildest dreams, I would end up in my mother's hometown, a Small village in Alappuzha during the lock down days. Usually I am the kind who could never stay away from Trivandrum for more than two days. So here I was in the home where my mom grew up. My Grand father is a very loving person. He is in his old age. I get immensely pampered by him. My grandmother cooks for me the yummiest meals with whatever limited vegetables and groceries get from market these days. My mom who just happened to return from Delhi just the day before lockdown was announced, helps me do all our home work assignments.I am glad she is here with us safe during these times. My mom's younger sister my 'Kunja' is so kind and affectionate. She prepares variety juices, shakes, desserts for me on most days. My mom's younger brother is so funny and cracks me up always. He plays with me cricket in our small front yard in the evenings. We have a lovely garden too in this home. There are plenty of jack fruits and mangoes now available. To top it have three new little kittens in our home. It feels amazing to see them climb one on top of the other and playfully move around. I am enjoying every moment of my day here. These 'Lock down' days are actually God given blessed days to realise the many beautiful little things that would have gone unnoticed on the other busy days of our lives.
