Birds Club International is a project initiated by the well known film director Mr. Jayaraj, under the Umbrella of Jayaraj Foundation. The Club which came into being in 2010 was piloted in a few schools and colleges in Kerala. It is now spreading its wings to a global scale.
in our School also we constituted the unit of BCI on 26-09-2017 and it was inaugurated by the well known film director Mr.Jayaraj, Founter of BCI unit. The Head master Mr.M Ramesh presided over the function in the presence of PTA President Mr. Sunil J, teachers and students. For the memory of the inauguration of BCI, Mr. Jayaraj planted two "Mandaram" plants in our school compount. For the smooth functioning of BCI unit unit in our school we elected thirty numbers of a student committee. We conducted several activities and competitions. On 11/09/2017 under the banner of BCI , we conducted an art competition for LP, UP and HS students. They are asked to draw the picture of Kerala's National Bird "Great Horn Bill " and selected six paintings. We sent those paintings to BCI Unit Kottayam. Now we have given waste management programme to students. As a part of this programme students are collecting waste materials from their homes, like tin, platic bottles etc. and make them useful things. In coming months we are planning to conduct many more programmes under BCI Unit.
