COVID 19


Coronaviruses are a family of viruses that can cause illnesses such as the common cold. In 2019, a new coronavirus was identified as the cause of a disease outbreak that originated in china. This virus is now called as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus -2 (SARS cov-2) that is COVID -19. The symptoms of COVID -19 may appear 2 - 14 days after exposure. Fever, cough, shortness of breath, tiredness, running nose, sore throat are sign of COVID 19. Some people have no symptoms at all. People who are older or who have existing chronic medical conditions may be at high risk of illness. To protect ourself from causing the disease we should, 1. Avoid large events and mass gathering. 2. Avoid close contact with anyone. 3. Wash your hands often with soap and water for atleast 20 seconds, or use an alcohole based hand sanitizer. 4. Cover your mouth and nose with a mask. 5. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. 6. Stay at home and break the chain.
