My Sweet Home
My house is a place of happiness and beauty,
Nature's gift and paradise on earth to me
The river that flows through the heart of my village,
With the curves it flows
Making vast green fields.
On the west a high hill
over which the sun sets
And I would climb to see the beauty of setting and rising sun,
A site that resembles Western shore of Arabian sea.
And wonder why nature has stored all its beauty in my village.
The moon and the stars looked at me to see me sleeping,
The curling mist up over the blue watered river,
The bright sunlight that comes piercing the morning mist;
All made my home, a cradle to sleep again.
The church bells and temple songs pierced my window,
The tunes of sweet songs from birds and insects came in,
All made sudden break to my morning dreams,
And I lifted my heart to whisper a prayer of thanks to God .
The sunlight woke me up to this living world
They fed my pets, birds, dogs and rabbits
And to water the flowering plants in my garden
And open the door of my favorite books.
