Man and the environment From the ancient times itself, man is closely linked with the environment. He almost depends on the environment for everything he need food, shelter, clothes etc. The environment is on which human existence depends and it's maintenance is increasingly being considered as essential for the mankind. What we mean by the environment is that those natural things that surrounded us- the essential to sustain human life, such as earth's atmosphere, healthy air and drinkable water, together with other friends, such as wild animals or wild places (forests) or human living space. Man now realizes that the environment was being tortured due to their greedy needs. Thus, he realizes the importance of protecting and saving the existing valuable features of the environment. It involves keeping nature's gifts to mankind as much as posse and in as good condition as possible. Pollution is taking place widely throughout the world. It is the murdering of the environment when we are polluting our environment through destroying valuable resources that the nature provides including air, water and soil, and destruction of forest wealth. Now man is realizing that he is harming himself through destroying the environment and polluting it. This thought had led him to an idea of finding ways to save and protect our environment. That is, to protect our environment, there indeed must be a limit of our plans and ambitions for development, expansion and growth. In fact, it is as part of these efforts to make the environmental pollution free, hasn't yet reached a complete success. Some of the people are yet trying to exploit the environmental sources for their own needs, despite the thought of losing those valuable resources. It is these greedy thoughts that have lead to the large scale pollution and destruction of the environment. Therefore, realize the fact that it is our duty to save our environment. The mankind and the environment is interrelated and nobody is allowed to violate this interrelationship. The environment provides us our needy things and we in turn, should also treat our environment with required importance. The ultimate measure of environmental quality is the value the people place on it and the extent to which they are willing to pay to maintain it.
