Ways to boost the immune system

As the Coronavirus spread we are hearing a lot about how to reduce the exposure of virus attack and how to take care of ourselves if we do get sick. Even though those are important we are not hearing much about how we can boost our immunity so that our body can fight against the virus exposure.

Our immune systems are efficient enough to fight off any sickness and virus. But our immune system may get weak by many things like stress, toxins, lock of exercises and unhealthy eating. This prevents our body from effectively fighting off sickness. With Coronavirus continuing to spread its more important than ever to support the immune system. Here are certain ways to boost your immunity power.

1) Reduce stress: When we are stressed out our body produces stress hormones which the immune system. So one of the most important ways to boost immunity is to reduce stress. In order to do that you need to keep a balance in your life like take long or short breaks from your busy schedule when you need them and so some calming or relaxing stress-reduction techniques.

2) Get sufficient sleep: sleeping is important to rebuild a good immune system lack of sleep may cause stress and hurt our immunity. Try to sleep for 7-8 hours, avoid have an all nighter.

3) Get your exercise on : Exercise can be one of the best things to boost immunity. Exercising regularly is scientifically proven to boost the immune system. However continuous and rigorous workout weakens the immune system. So just keep the exercise according to your body capacity. Doing Yoga can keep your body fit and fine an can even help to reduce stress as well. Making Yoga a part of your life style can cause magical changes in your body and life .

4) Eat a balanced diet: Eat a diet high in fruits and vegetables. Vegetables , fruits, seeds and nuts are loaded with nutrients which are essential for our immune system. Consuming them on a daily basis boosts the immunity. For a healthy liver vegetables like broccoli and Cabbage should be included in daily diet. Healthy liver ensures the body’s natural detoxification process.

5) Consume immunity-boosting vitamins : Vitamin A,B,C,D and E can help increase the strength of the immune system. Vitamin C is the biggest booster of all and lack of it can cause several diseases including scurvy. You can get vitamin C from citrus fruits like Orange, Grape, Spinach and Strawberries. Step out in the sun to get vitamin D which is essential for the functioning of immune system as it helps the body to produce antibodies. You can take multivitamins supplements from your doctor however natural intake through food is the best way.

By taking these actions we can help prevent ourselves and our loved ones from suffering significantly from the Coronavirus.
