Little Kites Aptitude Test

In 2019-21, 34 students took the aptitude test and 23 students got admission in this batch.

4 children participated in the sub district camp.

Documentation of school day activities, video and digital magazine were prepared.

A training program was conducted under the leadership of Little Kites children in which QR code scanning and Samagra were introduced to mothers.

ಶ್ರೀ ದುರ್ಗಾಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢ ಶಾಲೆ ಧರ್ಮತ್ತಡ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ದಿನಾಂಕ 10/06/2024 ಶುಕ್ರವಾರದಂದು 2019-2020 ಶೈಕ್ಷೆಣಿಕ ವರ್ಷದ ಲೈಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ಸ್ ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು ಮುಖ್ಯೋಪಾಧ್ಯಯರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಇ ಯಚ್ ಗೋವಿಂದ ಭಟ್ ಇವರು ಲೈಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ಸ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು ಶಾಲಾ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಪಕ ಶ್ರೀ ಎನ್ ಶಂಕರನಾರಾಯಣ ಭಟ್, ಐಟಿ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಶ್ರೀ ಶಶಿಕುಮಾರ್ ಪಿ ಶುಭ ನುಡಿಗಳನ್ನಾಡಿದರು. ಲೈಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ಸ್ ಮಾಸ್ಟರ್ರಾದ ಪ್ರದೀಪ್ ರವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನಿರೊಪಿಸಿದರು. ಲೈಟ್ಲ್ ಕೈಟ್ಸ್ ಮಿಸ್ಟ್ರೆಸ್ ಸೌಮ್ಯರವರು ಧನ್ಯವಾದವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.

Animation 1

Little Kites members arrived on Wednesday 19/06/2019 at 4.00 pm. Today the class was about cartoon animation. The class started by showing two short animation videos in front of the children. After watching the video, the children were divided into 4 groups. The children were then shown a number of pictures in the resource folder indicating the movement of an aircraft. Through this, children were able to understand the importance of pictures in animation. When the images were displayed at high speed, the plane seemed to move. It was a new knowledge for the children that perspective stabilization is a technique based on the uniqueness of our vision. The next session taught about the importance of the storyboard. When a story is transformed into a visual form, accurate preparations are needed and a very important step in this is the preparation of the story board. It was learned that the background of the story, the still scenes, the scenes to be moved, the time duration, dialogue or background sound, if any, can be added to the storyboard.

ಈ ದಿನ ಅನಿಮೇಷನ್ ನ basic ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ class ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಅನಿಮೇಷನ್ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಪಟ್ಟ ಎರಡು ಸಣ್ಣ cinema clipಗಳನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ನಂತರ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕರು LK resources ----Animation Actvity ಎಂಬ folderನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ತೋರಿಸಿದರು. ನಂತರ ಇವತ್ತಿನ ತರಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಕ್ರೋಢೀಕರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು


Animation 2

26/06/2019 Children introduced to new software. Tubi tube desk. Gained knowledge about various steps of making animation using this software and understood the general techniques in the software. An animation of a plane flying through the sky showed the preparatory work. Also provided an understanding of FPS, Frame mode, Static BG mode and Dynamic BG mode. The children created an animation of a plane flying using the pictures in the resource folder that followed. The children enjoyed this activity very much. Children save and run the completed activity. Next the kitemistresses took us through classes on twining. Having said that, tweening is a commonly used facility in animation software and making use of this facility makes it much easier to animate objects. The same action as before was shown in a different way. First the background image is included in Static BG Mode. Then the picture of the plane was included in the frame model. The position tween is also taken from the tweening option. Double-click the create a new tween button on the right side of the stage, select the object whose position you want to change, and then click the Set Path Properties radio button in Options. Click on the parts of the canvas where you want the object to move and click the Save Tween button. The children did the activity of completing an animation very easily. Learning animation became very enjoyable for children and children completed the activity very easily.


ಇಂದಿನ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ story board ತಯಾರಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. Home assignment ಆಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಅದರ ಕುರಿತು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೇಳಿ ನಂತರ next topicನ ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು. TUPI TUBE softwareನಲ್ಲಿರುವ Dynamic BG Mode ಸೌಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ objectಗಳಿಗೆ Animation ಕೊಡವುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. Dynamic static frame modeಗಳ ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾತವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರಿನ ಚಲನೆ, ವಿಮಾನ ಹಾರುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೆಲವೊಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಬಹಳ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲ ಮಾಡಿದರು.


Animation 3

Little Kites class was held on Thursday 03/07/2019 at 4 pm. Another trick the kids were introduced to was the tupi tube desk. The children were introduced to the method of giving movement to the background images to create the impression of movement on the object. The same activity presented in the previous session is presented here in a different way. For that, the background image is set in Dynamic BG Mode. Frame Mode also includes a picture that should create a moving impression. When the animation was presented by inserting the image in the first frame into the desired frame, the plane appeared to be moving. Next, a jeep moving animation was done using Dynamic BG Mode, Static BG Mode and Frame Mode. Background image is included in Dynamic BG Mode. The image of the car was placed in Static BG Mode and in Frame Mode the image of the wheel was placed in the first frame and adjusted to the position of the first wheel of the vehicle. To rotate the wheel while the vehicle is moving, select Rotation Tween from the tweening option. Double-click the create a new tween button on the right side of the stage. Then select the first cycle and click the Set Properties radio button in the option and enter the required values ​​and click the Save Tween button. A rotation tween was given to the second wheel in the same way. The prepared file is saved and exported

ಇವತ್ತಿನ ತರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಥಾ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳು ವಿವಿಧ ಆಕಾರಗಳು ಹೀಗೆ Tukscape Software ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ತಯಾರಿಸುವುದು ಎನ್ನುವುದರ ಕುರಿತು ತರಗತಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು. Vector software ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ Node editing ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಮತ್ತೆ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ Vector ಚಿತ್ರವನ್ನು png format ನಲ್ಲಿ Export ಮಾಡುವುದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಹೇಳಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಯಿತು. Balloon ತಯಾರಿಸುವುದು, balloonಗೆ ನೂಲು ಕಟ್ಟುವ ರೀತಿ balloonನ duplicate ಮಾಡುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ? ಎಂಬ activity ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಬಿಡಿಸಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂಬ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಹಳ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.


Animation 4

10/07/2019 – Children did an activity to gain the ability to create a background image using GIMP software. Kite master realized the need to adjust GIMP's canvas at 720 x 420. The image editing software, Gimp, was introduced to the children in classes eight and nine, so the children were able to easily draw a picture according to their imagination using all the tools. Then realized the need to export the image in png format and exported the image in png format. Then the children were introduced to the software called Inkscape. It was understood that just like preparing the background image for animation, the characters also need to be prepared and Inkscape is a software that can be used for this task. Although characters can be drawn in Gimp, he told how to easily draw pictures using the technical facilities of Inkscape and make the necessary changes to the pictures using the node editing technique. The tools in Inkscape were introduced through the activity of drawing an airplane. The aircraft model given in the resource folder was created in the Inkscape vector graphics editor. First take the Draw Bezier Curves and Straight Line tool and draw the shape of the plane. The front and bottom of the plane were adjusted as in the model using the Edit Path by Node tool. The wings of the plane were also drawn using the Bezier tool. Color given. Grab the Create Rectangle Tool and draw the windows and doors. Then the image is exported in png format

17/07/2019 The children did the work of making animation on the tupi tube desk using the images prepared by the children in Gimp and Inkscape software. In this way the children were able to discover the strengths and weaknesses of their drawing. This session helped to understand more about GIMP and Inkscape software and to understand the new possibilities of drawing.

Hi-Tech Class and Maintenance

Dharmathadka: Kite Mater Pradeep Took Classes On 21.6.2019 for Little Kites Children And Selected Children Of Other Classes In Addition To Topics Like How To Use Computers, Projectors, Monitors Etc. In The Classrooms, How To Arrange Their Safety And What Is The Responsibility Of The Little Kites Students.

Little Kites One Day Training Camp

One day camps and routine classes are conducted very precisely according to the given module and all the resources and facilities required for the learning of the children are prepared in the lab. Little Kites IT Club was formed at Sdphs Dharmathadka with 22 students. After formation  Little Kites IT The inaugural training class of the club was conducted by School Manager Sri Shankaranarayana bhat. The Class was conducted by kite master of Kurudapadav Ramakrishna Prasad sir who received special training from kite. KITE Master Pradeep  welcomed and KITE Mistress Sowmya gave vote of thanks.The children were divided into 3 groups and given an opportunity to talk about what they learned about Little Kites on a group basis. Then went to classes. Training was conducted in projector-troubleshooting, Scratch and MIT Up Inventor. The trainer showed the helper video in front of the children to enable the children to solve the problems that arise while operating the projector in the hi-tech classrooms. Understand and note various issues with the projector and have the ability to take classes on projector setup for children who are not members of Little Kites.

A game developed using Scratch software was demonstrated and given an opportunity to share what they learned about the Scratch software and its features to nurture the programming aptitude of the Little Kites members and also generate interest in future activities of the project. Then activity was given to the children. The children were given an activity to prepare a car driving game on a track. The children completed this activity with great interest as there was scratch programming in the 8th class IT syllabus. In the session that followed, the children were introduced to the MIT app Inventor. Children have seen and understood Designer View and Block View in this application. The children worked on making the calculator in MIT App Inventor.

Little Kites School Level Camp

School School Manager Sri Shankaranarayana Bhat inaugurated the camp. Little Kitemaster Pradeep welcomed the event.  Headmaster N Ramachadra Bhat presided. SITC Shashi Kumar P spoke after offering greetings to Master. Little Kites Mistress Sowmya M  gave vote of thanks on the occasion.On 4/10/10 a one day camp was held for the members of Little Kites of SDPHS. The camp started at 10 am. The classes were held on OpenShot Video Editor, a video editing software. Animation videos prepared individually by the children and stored on the computer were used for video editing. Children made very beautiful animation movies using the knowledge they got. The first session was over by 45. Lunch was also arranged for the children. The next session started around 1.30 pm. Scratch, a programming software, was given to the children. The children were eagerly waiting for the new program as they had learned the scratch module in routine xass Butterfly Game is made on Scratch. Children completed their activity with great interest. Then the bike racing video was shown to the children. Children were also given the opportunity to code the program by themselves. The following presentation featured a bike racing game and animation story video completed by the children.
