Taking part in the Little Kites State Camp was one of the most exciting experiences I’ve ever had. I never imagined I would qualify for something like this, especially because talking to new people used to feel difficult for me. I honestly didn’t think I would reach this far, but by God’s grace, I did.
When I first joined the sub‑district camp, I only knew the basics of OpenToonz. But the district and state camps opened a whole new world for me. I learned so much about Blender and how animations are actually made. Our group animation project taught me not just new skills, but also helped me understand my teammates better. Time management was a big challenge for us, but we still learned a lot, modeling, rigging, and the hardest part of all, rendering. Sometimes rendering took one or two hours, and even three. There were days we stayed up until midnight, and one of us even had to stay awake until 2:30 AM just to finish rendering. But all those struggles made us better and stronger.
The state camp felt completely different from the district and sub‑district camps. Almost everything was new to me. Even simple things surprised me, the chair that kept spinning even after I sat down, or the tap that wouldn’t work no matter how much I turned it left or right, until I realized I had to lift it instead. Sitting in that huge hall felt amazing, like I was part of something big.
The state camp inspired me to look forward to more opportunities like this. It made me want to grow, learn, and challenge myself even more.
