Little Kites Aptitude Test 2024

38 children have been registered in LKMS for the entrance exam for the new batch of 2023-26. In order to train them for the entrance exam, a WhatsApp group was formed by joining everyone and previous classes of the Victor's channel related to the exam and other training programs were conducted at the class level. Also a general class was given to all the children who had registered for the examination on Friday 9th June 2023 in the school. The test was conducted on a specially prepared software on the computer. The exam consisted of 20 questions of 30 minutes duration. Aptitude test had questions related to logic and reasoning, programming section, 5,6,7 questions based on ICT textbooks and IT general knowledge. 38 children participated in Little Kites Aptitude Test held on Tuesday 13 June 2023 and 24 passed the aptitude test. This year, admissions are going on for the 24 seats allotted to the school. Result uploaded in LKMS system. The exam included various questions in IT technology general knowledge, animation and programming sections. Aptitude test result came on 24th June. Little Kites Routine Classes

Little's routine classes are conducted every Wednesday from 4 pm to 5 pm. The activities to be completed as per the module are also done on Saturdays which are not working days. Classes are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month for Class VIII students. Activities related to high-tech equipment setup, graphic designing, animation, Malayalam computing, media and documentation, and block programming are conducted in the 8th class.

Arrangement of Hi-Tech Equipments

On 23-7-2023 at 4 pm, a class on high-tech equipment was held under the leadership of Kite master Pradeep. In this class v explained how to connect the computer and the projector, how to make the scene more clear and where to place the projector in general. The children took turns in groups and practiced connecting the projector with the help of the teachers. Teacher Sowmya explained how to ensure internet connectivity and how to reset applications.... A class related to awareness about fake news was embedded in YouTube-kite Victors channel and it was followed up to be displayed in each class under the leadership of LK children.. Mobile App (Class -2) On 2-08-2023, the classes of Little Kites of 8th class started at four o'clock. In this class, the explanation was given about graphics design... The children were asked to discuss how to make brilliant pictures and why it is used... The children shared the prior knowledge that GIMP software should be used for this. Kite master Pradeep explained what layers are in GIMP and how to use them to adjust and avoid them. Inkscape software and Tupitube Dusk were introduced... With the help of the teacher, the children prepared excellent pictures.

Animation

Little Kites class started on 03-08-2023 at four o'clock.. The teachers evaluated the pictures prepared by the children in the previous classes... They discussed how to move these pictures. Flip book that by changing the shape and position of the images and moving them quickly, animation is possible. Sowmya teacher explained by showing a video Mp4. How to prepare frames, how to adjust the number of frames and how to adjust the speed of the film. After explaining these things well, we ended today's classes by giving a follow-up activity to make a small short film in the next class. Little kite classes started on 9- 08-2023 at 4 pm. This was a class that explained how to make animation easily. Kite master Pradeep explained how to make animation with the help of tweening. The children completed the animation classes with the help of the teachers. Today's classes ended by giving guidelines to some groups and explaining how to prepare animation in other groups and clearing all the doubts in the animation class.

Kannada Typing 20-10-2023 In this class, the teacher Sowmya explained the importance of kannada letters for typing is possible on the computer. Kannada keyboard layout, how to type alphabets, various types of letters were introduced to the children. Since it was kannada typing, the children participated in the class with great interest. The fact that every child tried to type their name and address and was able to do so brought happiness to both the children and the teachers. 24-10-2023 In this class, the things required for preparing the magazine were explained. The teacher explained to the children how to prepare a magazine, how to add a title, how to arrange the paragraphs.In this class, v explained how to make attractive cover pages and install fonts. == Media and Documentation Training == On Saturday, December 23, 2023, 8th graders who are members of Little Kites at SDP high school were given media and documentation training in news writing, news filming, capturing images using DSLR cameras, adding those images to the computer, video editing using KDyn Live, audio recording using Audacity, and then In this training, the children learned to complete the video documentation by incorporating these files. Camera training was given by Kite master Pradeep. == LK Parent Meeting == A meeting of parents of Little Kites children of 8th class was held on Thursday 10/08/2023 at 3pm. Kite Mistress Sowmya teacher took the class on what Little Kites is, its objectives, school activities and curriculum. This meeting helped to make the parents aware of the various activities of Little Kites Children's School. == Master Trainer Priya Ch Visit to SDPHS == Manjeshwara sub District Master Trainer Priya Ch visited the School and evaluated the activities of the Little Kites team. He congratulated the Little Kites children for their excellent performance in the school activities. == Animation (Class -1) == On 9-6-2024, the first class of 9th class started at morning 9 o'clock. After showing the 2D and 3D animation videos, there was a discussion about the science behind the animation and the differences between the two types of animation. The children were given the assignment to come up with a story and prepare a storyboard to prepare an animated film and then split up. 2D animation is introduced to children in the early stages of training.
