Lockdown Days It was nine in the morning and no one was on the street. I tried to step out but I wasn't able to. My mother stoped me from going out. Since the pandemic was spreading Everyone was taking precautions to prevent it. It's been days since met my friend. Lockdown made it impossible for me and residents in Wuhan to step out and smell the fresh air. At beginning of the lockdown I was curious about the virus which caused all these chaos. All the schools, stores,malls and parks were shut and goverment was taking necessary precautions to prevent it. It was the second day of the lockdown and I was entertaining myself watching my favorite cartoon. Suddenly my mom came and grabbed the remote control from me. She started watching news channel. I was so angry with her and I shouted mom why did you changed the channel. It was my favorite cartoon." But didn't say anything. I sat near her and asked. She hold on my hands tightly. Her hands were ice cold . It made me feel weird. I looked at her. She was still wearing her apron. I smelled something burning in the kitchen. I ran to the kitchen and removed all the mess in there. When I returned mom was not there. She was in her room and it was locked from inside. She was changing her dress. She wore a proper dress and was ready to go. I asked her again "what happened mom" . She said with her shivering voice." Dad had met with an accident and he is in critical stage." Hearing this I was shocked. Then she said "there was a fire in the market didn't you hear the news".Now I was relieved. Before I said a thing she locked me and set out to hospital. I was about to say that the accident was not in market but near the phone tower. You know some people thinks that the virus spread through phones so phone towers should be burned down. The news was this. My mom was a very normal House wife living her life Between the four walls of The kitchen. She don't know English so most of the time she spend her time watching TV and knitting wool. She so innocent she was vulnerable to cheatings and dangers. Today she was so anxious she accidently switched an English channel. The only thing she was hearing was"fire". My father is a middle class man running a grocery store. He is my super hero.The store is one of the essential so he need to run the store. The store is near the fish market. I was waiting for my mother. I heard her sound so I ran to door step waiting for mom to open the door. When she opened the door I was going to give her a big hug but she stopped me. She didn't allowed me to touch her. I thought that mom had corona virus but it was just a thought of mine. She returned from her room after taking a bath. Then my mother told me why she didn't allowed me to. Then I asked her about the accident. But she told me that it was a prank call. This is the second time she is pranked. Anyway I was so excited to know about the street. I wanted to ask her about the state of street."was there anybody or did the virus walked around the street. "It was all part of a seven year old big imagination. I grabbed my mother's phone and started texting my friend. He was playing football in his courtyard with his father. He was texting about the fun he made with his father . The truth is I was jealous of him. His father is a rich man so he had time for his son. I also wanted him to be jealous of me so I texted back. He texted me that although he had fun he was missing his class. I texted back "it's true". Actually I don't miss the school at all. I feel happy . No home works, no bullys and no annoying lectures. But you know the feeling when your friend is the class topper and you being the looser. How embarrassing would it be.
