കണ്ണൂര്‍ നഗരത്തിന്റെ അടുത്തായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു എയ്ഡഡ് വിദ്യാലയമാണ് ചൊവ്വ ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറി സ്കൂള്‍. ജില്ലയിലെ ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കമേറിയ വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്.
ചരിത്രം
ബംഗ്ലാവ് സ്കൂള്‍ എന്ന പേരില്‍ അറിയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന ചൊവ്വ സ്കൂള്‍ 1937-ല്‍ എലമെന്‍റ്ററി സ്കൂളായും 1945-ല്‍ ഹൈസ്കൂളായും ഉയര്‍ത്തപ്പെട്ടു. 2000-ത്തില്‍ വിദ്യാലയത്തിലെ ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറി വിഭാഗം പ്രവര്‍ത്തനമാരംഭിച്ചു.
ഭൗതികസൗകര്യങ്ങള്‍
മൂന്ന് ഏക്കര്‍ ഭൂമിയിലാണ് വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഹൈസ്കൂളിന് 5 കെട്ടിടങ്ങളിലായി 41 ക്ലാസ് മുറികളും ഹയര്‍ സെക്കണ്ടറിക്ക് ഒരു കെട്ടിടത്തിലായി 12 ക്ലാസ് മുറികളുമുണ്ട്. അതിവിശാലമായ ഒരു കളിസ്ഥലം വിദ്യാലയത്തിനുണ്ട്.
ഹൈസ്കൂളിനും ഹയര്‍സെക്കണ്ടറിക്കും വെവ്വേറെ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടര്‍ ലാബുകളുണ്ട്. രണ്ട് ലാബുകളിലുമായി ഏകദേശം അമ്പതോളം കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറുകളുണ്ട്. രണ്ട് ലാബുകളിലും ബ്രോഡ്ബാന്റ് ഇന്റര്‍നെറ്റ് സൗകര്യം ലഭ്യമാണ്.

മാനേജ്മെന്റ്
ചൊവ്വ എഡുക്കേഷണല്‍ സൊസൈറ്റിയാണ് വിദ്യാലയത്തിന്റെ ഭരണം നടത്തുന്നത്. നിലവില്‍ 2 വിദ്യാലയങ്ങള്‍ ഈ മാനേജ്മെന്റിന്റെ കീഴില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. ശ്രീ കെ ലക്ഷ്മണന്‍ മാനേജറായും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു. 1945 ല്‍ ആണ് ഈ സ്കൂള്‍ ഇന്നത്തെ മാനേജ്മെന്റിനു കീഴില്‍ വരുന്നത്. ഈ വര്‍ഷം ഈ സ്കൂള്‍ ഏറ്റെടുത്തതിന്‍റ്റെ 65ം വാര്‍ഷികം ആഘോഷിക്കുകയാണ്
