2021-22 was an academic year in which all the schools were closed due to the Covid pandemic and for the first time in history the school entrance festival had to be held online. PTA President John Dsouza presided over the online entrance festival program. Headmaster EH Govindha Bhat  welcomed the teacher.The program was presided over by School Manager N Shankaranarayan Bhat. After the entrance ceremony, the children presented various art programs on a class basis through Google Meet. Members of Little Kites have prepared a documentation video for the official song released by the government for Praveshavatsava 2021-22 including the ceremonies of Praveshavatsava

Little Kites Aptitude Test 2021-24

34 children have been registered in LKMS for the entrance exam for the new batch of 2021-24. In order to train them for the entrance exam, a WhatsApp group was formed by joining everyone and previous classes of the Victor's channel related to the exam and other training programs were conducted at the class level. Also a general class was given to all the children who had registered for the examination on Thursday 10th March in the school. The test was conducted on a specially prepared software on the computer. The exam consisted of 20 questions of 30 minutes duration. Aptitude test had questions related to logic and reasoning, programming section, 5,6,7 questions based on ICT textbooks and IT general knowledge. 34 children participated in Little Kites Aptitude Test held on 19th March 2022 and 21 passed the aptitude test. Due to technical issues with Kite Aptitude Test faced difficulties in starting and uploading on time. Aptitude test conducted by kitemaster Pradeep K Kite Mistress Sowmya M. This year, admissions are going on for the 21 seats allotted to the school. Result uploaded in LKMS system. The exam included various questions in IT technology general knowledge, animation and programming sections. Aptitude test result came on 30th March. The result was printed and posted on the notice board. Class 8 students were informed.

Distribution of Identity Card to Little Kites Members

SDPHS The Little Kites IT Club of the High School distributed KITE (Kerala Infrastructure and Technology for Education) identity cards to the students (2021_24 batch). Those who participate in all the activities of Little Kites, India's largest student IT association, will get an ID card. 21 children of the 2021_24 batch of SDP High School are the members of Little Kites IT Club. The formal distribution of the identity card was done by Headmaster EH Govindha Bhat. Little Kites Master Pradeep, and Little Kites Mistress Sowmya were also present on the said occasion.

Little Kites School Camp

One day preliminary camp of little kites batch 2023-26 was conducted on 12/07/2023, saturday at it lab. The class started at exactly 9.30am. Kite master Pradeep k welcomed the camp which was Inaugurated by Head Master EH Govindha Bhat. The program was presided over by School Manager N Shankaranarayan Bhat. Senior assistant Shashikumar P congratulated.Little kite Mistress Sowmya M thanked everyone. Kite Master Pradeep k and Kite Mistress Sowmya M  handled various sessions on Programming, Animation and Mobile App. Students produced excellent projects using the free software Tupi Tube desk and Scratch. Refreshments and lunch were provided for the camp members. The camp started at 10 am and the camp ended at 4.30 pm. Akshith Ram K , Tanush Kumar N, Likhith Krishna N Thanish Raj Shetty.K of Little Kites 2020 - 23rd Batch were selected for Sub district Camp. AKSHITH RAM K(XD) and Tanush Kumar N(XC) were selected for District Camp (Animation).

Smart phone distribution

Smart phones collected by PTA members, teachers and individuals were distributed to the students who were worried about the lack of online learning facility.

Routine class

LITTLE KITS PRELIMINARY CAMP

One day preliminary camp of little kites batch 2023-26 was conducted on 17/09/2022, saturday at it lab. The class started at exactly 9.30am. Kite master Pradeep k welcomed the camp which was Inaugurated by School Manager N Shankaranarayan Bhat which was held with the aim of conveying the importance of Little Kites to the children.Senior assistant Shashikumar P congratulated. The Class was conducted by kite master of Pradeep k sir who received special training from kite. Little kite Mistress Sowmya M thanked everyone. The children were divided into 4 groups using words related to advanced technology in order to arouse children's curiosity in technology. Then various activities were given on group basis and the groups were awarded points. Children were introduced to various topics like animation, little kites objectives, game using scratch three, robotics, etc. Videos were screened to give an understanding of the impact of internet on daily life, the potential of information and communication technology and the relevance of the project. Through a video presentation, the children were introduced to technology-based devices used in daily life. Each section dealt with understanding the impact of advancements in the field of artificial intelligence. The basic understanding of the Little Kites project was imparted to the students through the preliminary camp.  The training program ended at exactly four o'clock

Little Kites Routine Classes

Little's routine classes are conducted every Wednesday from 4 pm to 5 pm. The activities to be completed as per the module are also done on Saturdays which are not working days. Classes are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month for Class VIII students. Activities related to high-tech equipment setup, graphic designing, animation, Kannada typing, media and documentation, and block programming are conducted in the 8th class.
