Cleanliness It is said that cleanliness is next to godliness. That means that it is almost a divine quality.It simply means that we should keep our person and surrounding clean. If we are not clean we are likely to catch many diseases. Personal hygiene leads to good health. We must cut our nails and keep our hands clean. It will protect as from many viruses like COVID-19. We must neverforget to wash our hands before each meal. Brushing the teeth,cutting and grooming the hair neatly,taking bath everyday are all very good habits. Wearing sandals is not a luxury today;on the other hand it is a neccessity and protection against the bad surroundings. In the same way we must also learn good social behavior and habits. Some people have the bad habit of throwing rubbish all around. It leads to many communicable diseases. We should also keep public wells and water tanks clean. It is always safe to drink boiled water. Breathing good airis also important for good health for which we must have enough ventilations for houses and schools. We must learn all these habits at an early age. Children are like molten iron. It can be shaped in to any form we like when it is hot. When it is cold and hard it is a Herculean task to change its shape. That is why the proverb says beat the iron while it is hot. If our health is ruined in the childhood itself how can we regain it in the youth. Cleanliness leads to hygiene which in turn leads to good health. We should put in a concerted effort to attain good health for all.
