CORONA A DISASTER Corona viruses are a group of related viruses that cause diseases in mammals and birds. In humans, corona viruses cause respiratory tract infection that can range from mild to lethal. Mild illness include some cases of the common cold (which has other possible causes, predominantly rhinoviruses) while more lethal varieties can cause SARS, MERS and COVID-19. The recent outbreak of Corona virus is believed to have occurred in a market for illegal wildlife in the central Chinese City of Wuhan. Chinese health authorities and the WHO are investigating the outbreak of recent Corona virus. The virus is named after its shape which takes the forms of crown with protrusions around it and hence is known as corona virus. Since it's a new strain, there is no specific vaccine that can treat it. The virus has spread to all continents now, except Antarctica. Few Indian travelers who were found with the corona virus strain have been isolated and treated before their release. Worries are mounting that prolonged quarantines, supply chain disruption and sharp reduction in tourism and business travel could weaken the global economy or even cause a recession. Be safe.
