NATURE'S REVENGE
Moments of crisis are always moments of opportunities. The better we manage nature the better we manage human health. Keeping nature rich in diverse and flourishing is a part and parcel of our life support system. The global corona virus pandemic has already caused unimaginable hardship. With consumers stuck at home there is an increase in the household garbage. Medical waste is also in the raise. Hospitals in Wuhan produced an average of over 200 tons of such waste per day. Thus in an effect to contain the spread of pandemic factories have been shut, planes sit idly on runways and most of us are working from home, cutting traffic to bare minimum. With everyday life come to a halt, our planet has been given chance to breath. The wild must be kept wild. It's time to restore our forests, stop deforestation and invest in the management of protected areas. Through reduction in air pollution an improvement in air quality has occurred in major cities, though we cannot consider it as a silver lining in the cloud. The environmental improvements during the Covid-19 crisis are not long lasting. This is because pollution may temporarily decline but this is hardly a way of cleaning up our environment. The decision we make now to handle, to treat will effect us for generations to come including our ability to halt global warming. These decisions lead us into a future where we not only survive but actually thrive together with nature. The earth has already began to show signs of amazing things are happening from the absence of human population. We hope to build a better world.
