NOTHING THAN WATER In a village, there lived a boy named Rahul. He had always said "water is very important". His father, Raman is a FARMER. Rahul helped his father during free time. They had a deep well near to his house. He saved a lot of water when he was using it because he knew the value of water. Many years later, people started to waste water. He tried tell everyone to take care of water but they didn't care. He got an idea. He set up the pipes in the roof with the help of his father and made rain water falling on the roof to run through the pipe and then into the well.Rainy season started and rain water reached the well.Then he advised the people to collect rain water like this. But they didn't listen to their words. They made fun of them. Summer season started. All the water resources became drained. Lakes and ponds became empty. The people of the village found that there is no water. They had nothing to drink, to wash with or even to use when they want to the toilet. People were very scared and worried.At last, they beg for water from Raman. Then Raman said to them, "If you had saved the rain water, you should not have this situation. Water is our life. Don't waste it again".The villagers felt sorry for not realising the need to save water. Raman agreed to give water from the well. Rain water harvesting pipes were set in every house of the village. They all are proud of Rahul for this wonderful method. Then they started to save rain water.
