Environment The living things on the earth include our environment. They include the organisms living on land as well as water. They play a major role in supporting our lives on the earth. So it is essential for the living organism to protect the environment. Unfortunately our environment is under a serious threat. This threat is entirely due to the activities of human. The destruction of environment risks the survival of mankind and other organism on earth. Pollution due to the activities of human is the major reason for the destruction of environment. Nowadays the use of plastics and fossil fuels has increased. The burning of these things releases a large amount of carbon dioxide in to the atmosphere, resulting in the increase of global warming. This causes the melting of ice in large amount. This had increased the level of sea water. As a result most of the coastal regions are swallowed by the sea. Such activities of man had resulted in the extinction of various plants and animals. There are several methods to protect our environment. Trees are the one and only source of oxygen on the earth. Due to construction and many other activities many trees have been cut down. Growing more trees means more production of oxygen. Planting trees must be given massive attention.Soil conservation is another important method to protect our environment. It reduces the natural calamities. For the conservation of soil afforestation must be encouraged. There must be a proper waste management system for a healthy environment. On saving the environment the world climate can be regained back to normal. By avoiding plastics and fossil fuels we can reduce global warming. A healthy environment can be brought back by avoiding pollution and deforestation. It avoids the scarcity of potable water and the extinction of plants and animals can be avoided. Environment is a precious gift. Saving environment is the hour in need. It is the biggest concern of humanity.
