A Great Desire A Great Desire While having a cup of tea with my grandma a piece of my old memory passed through me.The droplets of water hanging on the gooseberry leaves made me to recollect my old memories of my childhood. It was a cloudy afternoon. When i got bored with my homework i went to my grandpa to ask about his village because I was so curious about it. He always says the beauty of his village can't be compared with the present hometown . He started saying; i lived in a village called devagiri which was situated in the valleys of two hills. The village was also called as gift of two hills. There was a small primary school at the heart of the village. Later the school was developed and was upgraded. There was a river near the school. I used to bath with my friends in the river during the holidays. I could barely forget the coolness of the river , the morning melody of birds, the fragrance of gentle breeze of the fields , the warmth of sand. At my age of 15 me and my family was compelled to shift to a city for my father's convenience. After a while i came to know that a flood had washed away my motherland and the hills. I lost my friends , relatives and my old mango tree . Later the village turned into a city.The river turned into a stream and became polluted.
