This school of learning began its journey in the year 1911 as a Sanskrit Primary School near the famous, sacred temple of Shree Udaneshwara at Peradala under the leadership of late Sri Khandige Shambhatta and late Sri Ishwarabhatta.

This school complex is located amid quiet and green environs, which provide the necessary conducive atmosphere for learning. By providing value-based education, it equips the learners to face academic and social challenges and instills self-esteem, confidence and self-reliance. The school has a team of well-qualified, dedicated teachers who are determined to improve and bring out the best in every student. A Library facility is there on all subjects with encyclopedia, rare reference books, science journals etc. The institute has been encouraging extra curricular activities through Science Club, NCC, Scouts, Sports and Games etc. It has also been providing mid-day meals for primary students over the years.
At present, we have a strength of more than 700 students in our school. As per the new system of education, pupils have been furnished with a well equipped Computer lab and a Multimedia room. There is a library with more than 10000 books on various topics for the ready reference. Sports is also given equal impetus. We have a very good playground and the students have excelled in the field of sports too. All these facilities have been a boon to the student fraternity under the guidance of the Headmaster and a bunch of dedicated teachers.

After the demise of Sri P Venkatramana Bhat, the establishment is being run by the Vidyaranya Educational Society (VES). At present it is in progress under the presidentship of Sri B. G. Rama Bhat , a renowned agriculturist and a social worker. Sri Sarpamale Bala Subrahmanya Bhat, a veteran agriculturist, is the Vice – President. Dr. Sripathi Kajampady,an eminent physician of Perla is also the Vice – President of VES.  Sri Srikrishna Vishwamithra,Manager , is a cog in the machine of VES and he is  taking all the initiative and efforts tirelessly for the betterment of the whole institution. Several respectable and responsible citizens like Dr. P.V.S Mithra,Sri Karyadu Ganapathi Bhat  etc., are its members. Moreover enthusiastic young and energetic personalities like;Sri Venkata Raja Mithra, Sri Jagath Kumar & others are the backbone of this Association.
