കാസർഗോഡ് റവന്യൂ ജില്ലയിൽ മഞ്ചേശ്വരം ഉപ ജില്ലയിലെ പ്രസിദ്ധമായ ഒരു പൊതുവിദ്യാലയം ആണ് GWLPS Manjeshwar . 1924 ലാണ് ഈ വിദ്യാലയം സ്ഥാപിതമായത്. മഞ്ചേശ്വരം MANJESWARAM പഞ്ചായത്തിലെ MANJESHWARA എന്ന സ്ഥലത്താണ് ഈ സ്കൂൾ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ഇവിടെ 1 മുതൽ 5 വരെ 1 to 5 ക്ലാസുകൾ നിലവിലുണ്ട്.

HISTORY

Generally the school is known as GWLPS MANJESHWAR. It is the short form of Govt. Welfare Lower Primary School Manjeshwar. The school has started functioning in an old building which was situated 300 Kilo meters away from Manjeshwar Police Station.This building was desroyed due to the storm, after some years.So the government has decided construct new building near the police station. The school has shifted to the new building ,after the completion of the work.The school new building was inaugurated by honorable former education minister U.A Beeran on 6.4.1978. It is the only one government kannada pre primary school in Kerala. (along with LP school)The pre primary section was started on 17.12.1984. Rtd. Headmaster Mr.B.M Narayana was hardly struggled for the sanction of Pre Primary section.Alot of students studied in this institution. Many old students of this school were become Engineers ,Teachers, Bank employees, Political Leaders etc.

INFRASTRUCTURE

The school has two tiled buildings.There are 5 rooms in a building. But it is Tsunami re-habitation building.Now our children studying in this building.Pre Primary Section is functioning in another building There are two toilets and an urinal in the school.There is a well near the school.The school has 1.66 acre Govt Puramboke land.The school property has a compound wall. (partially)

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Conducting School day once in two years.Undertaking Educational excursion.Balasabhe is to be conducted at the end of every Month.School Sports meet is also a co curricular activity of our school.
