Little Kites Robotic Hackathon
A total of 1,627 robotic Arduino kits have been distributed across the district to facilitate robotic experiments for Little Kites students. To encourage maximum utilization of these kits, it has been decided to organize a Robotic Fest in schools under the leadership of Little Kites.
As part of this initiative, all schools have been instructed to conduct the Little Kites Creation Festival on February 12, 2025. The top five teams from each sub-district will then compete in the Little Kites Hackathon on February 15, 2025, at the ASAP Center, in collaboration with LBS Engineering College. District winners will be honored with cash prizes, mementos, and certificates.

Students of SAT High School also actively participated in this event. They made the best use of their time and resources, engaging in programming and animations to bring their robotic projects to life.
A Robotics & Animation Fest was held on Ananthavidhya Hall @ 12.02.2025 with the help of Littlekite. There was an opportunity to watch various animations and play games using PictoBlox. Along with this, there was an opportunity to see game animations and robotic products prepared by the children of Little Kites.
In addition, other children were provided with opportunities to learn basic programming lessons. In addition, UP and HS students were trained to do animation on Open Toonz. It was decided to provide further training to interested children.<gallery>

Manjeshwar, April 1 – A training session on installing Ubuntu 22.04 was held today at S.A.T HS Manjeshwar. The session, which started in the morning, was attended by Little Kites members, who installed the software on laptops throughout the school.
This training was introduced after changes in the secondary school IT textbook to promote hands-on learning. Students also learned image software creation, bootable drive setup, and new application usage. The session helped them gain practical IT skills and confidence in software handling.<gallery>

The Little KITEs program focuses on using technology to empower students and bridge the digital divide, align with values for the well-being of students.
The Little KITEs orientation session for the year 2025-26 was conducted on 24th June, 2026 at Shrimad Anantheshwara Temple Schools for the students of Eighth standard.
The training was imparted by the Senior Little KITEs students by installing a model  software. Students were informed about the Victers KITEs Channel and its aim to improve teaching learning process. The session educated the participants regarding Aptitude Test, Mental ability test, Logical thinking and General awareness on IT.
The session was conducted by KITE Master Shri Kiran Kumar Sir, KITE Mistress Smt. Sushma Bangera, with the cooperation of school IT Joint  co- ordinator Smt. Soumya K
An awareness session on the aptitude test for the 2025-28 Little Kites batch was organized under the guidance of senior Little Kites members.
Details regarding the pattern of questions in the aptitude test, the advantages of becoming a part of Little Kites, initiatives that foster social responsibility among students, the grace marks granted after the Class 10 board examination, additional points for Plus Two admissions, and the method used by KITE to prepare the rank list were effectively communicated to the newcomers by the senior students. A sample certificate was exhibited on the notice board, and the senior Little Kites students are also overseeing the certificate distribution process.

On September 20, 2025, the children of Little Kites 2025-27, who are members of the Free Software community, participated in a program held in the School Hall as part of the Free Software Day celebrations organized at the school level.
The program was inaugurated by Mr. Midhun P., Master Trainer, KITE, Kasaragod. As part of the celebration, several activities were conducted, including a quiz competition, animation training, games, robotics training, a parents’ awareness class, and a digital painting competition. The best posters were selected, shared on social media, and the students also took a pledge to promote the use of free software.

On account of World Teachers’ Day, the Little Kites students conducted a hands-on session for the 10th standard ICT teachers and selected 10th standard students. During the session, they demonstrated how to light up an LED bulb, produce sound using a buzzer, and run a motor using Arduino programming. The participants showed great enthusiasm as the Little Kites members guided them through each step with patience and clarity.
The activity provided valuable practical exposure to basic electronics and coding concepts, fostering curiosity and creativity among the participants. It was a meaningful way to celebrate World Teachers’ Day, as the Little Kites  students took on the role of teachers, sharing their knowledge and skills with confidence and teamwork.
