FILM REVIEW FILM: DRIVING LICENSE Main Actors: Prithviraj Sukumaran as Hareendran Suraj venjaramoodu as Motor Vehicle Inspector, Kuruvila. This screenplay is one of the cleverest piece of writing to emerge from Malayalam cinema in what is already a great year of Mollywood. Though Driving License perhaps intentionally gives off a vile of being casual fun, it is quite the opposite. The main female artists are Deepti Sati and Miya as Elsa and Bhama respectively. Other characters are Praveen, Sreenivasan, Saiju Kurup, Suresh Krishna, Shivji Guruvayoor, Nandhu, Vijayakumar, Lalu Alex, Salim Kumar, Innocent, Major Ravi, Aneesh Menon, Edavela Babu, Boban Alumoodan, Kalbavan Navas, Sohan Seenulal, Mafia Sasi, Vijayaragavan, Kalabavan Haneef etc. Suraj Venjaramoodu along with Prithviraj takes a central stage in this drama, where latter is a film actor, who needs to renew his driving license as he looses it. He approaches the former who is a Motor Vehicle Inspector and a great fan of Hareendran. After some incidents great enimity is formed between the actor and the Inspector. The actor and the Inspector becomes like a prey and a hunter. As Hareendran approaches for the Driving License Learners test, Kuruvila puts forward a tough situation for the actor. But he somehow clears the test and appears for the ground test. But the Inspector doesn’t allow him to continue for the road test. At last, he decides that he doesn’t want a driving license and he will not drive any vehicle ever. Without a driving license his film shootings can get interrupted, still he decided against getting a license and said he’ll quit acting. Through a series of events, they realized that the misunderstandings were purposefully created by some others. They become very close after clearing the misunderstandings.
