THE CHANGING ENVIRONMENT The earth of ours has changed tremendously once it used to be molten lava . Then it cooled down and mountains and oceans formed. Millions of years later , life sprouted on earth. Thus it is evident that the earth's environment under goes changes all the time. But it is so gradual that we hardly noticed it. However the changes in the environment are much more visible in this century. You may have noticed or read in the newspapers that the climate is changing. The monsoon does not come when it is used to or the rainfall was very little this year when compared to the previous years. This is due to the global warming which is caused by the change in environment . Apart from natural causes mankind too is contributing to the change of earth's environment . Burning too much of fuels add the quantity of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Cutting of vast forest for housing and industrial purpose increase the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere as absence of trees  stops consumption of carbon dioxide and release of oxygen.Polluting the atmosphere and water with waste matter and plastic upset the environment . Life on earth will become more hazardous if environment problems go on increasing at the current pace. Though many things are beyond the control of  man , the very attempt to stop the exploitation of nature would suspend many drastic changes. ANJU .
