കാസര്‍ഗോഡ് നഗരത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയഭാഗത്തായി സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു എയ്ഡഡ് വിദ്യാലയമാണ് ബാസല്‍ ഇവാഞ്ചലിക്കല്‍ മിഷന്‍ ഹൈ സ്കൂള്‍. ബി.ഇ.എം സ്കൂള്‍ എന്ന പേരിലാണ് പൊതുവെ അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. ബാസല്‍ മിഷന്‍ എന്ന ജര്‍മന്‍ മിഷണറി സംഘം 1906-ല്‍ സ്ഥാപിച്ച ഈ വിദ്യാലയം കാസര്‍ഗോഡ് ജില്ലയിലെ ഏറ്റവും പഴക്കമേറിയ വിദ്യാലയങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്.
ചരിത്രം
Bassel evangelical Mission School (B.E.M) is situated in the heart of the city kasaragod .It strted as german mission school in 01-03-1906. Later in 1914 it was renamed as Bassel Evangelical Mission School.The school upgraded as highschool in the year 1943 .It was a Highschool a highschool for girls in the year 1945-46.Later it became a co-education school.Many eminent personalities worked in this school . 1.Rev.Jahams Brigal who prepared first thulu grammar book 2.Rev.Herman Mublin who published first kannada news paper 3.Dr.Herman Gundert who prepared first English Malayalam dictionary. 4.Rev F.Kittal who prepared the first Kannada English dictionary

ചര്‍ച്ച് ഓഫ് സൗത്ത് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വടക്കന്‍ കേരള ഡയോസിസാണ് വിദ്യാലയത്തിന്റെ ഭരണം നടത്തുന്നത്. നിലവില്‍ 46 വിദ്യാലയങ്ങള്‍ ഈ മാനേജ്മെന്റിന്റെ കീഴില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. റെവ. ഡോ. കെ.പി. കുരുവിള ഡയറക്ടറായും റെവ. പോള്‍ ഡേവിഡ് തോട്ടത്തില്‍ കോര്‍പ്പറേറ്റ് മാനേജറായും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു. ഹൈസ്കൂള്‍ വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ പ്രധാന അദ്ധ്യാപകന്‍ ജി.രാജഗോപാല് ആണ്.
