==== English Club ====

The English club of our school titled as “LUSTRE” organized with well-defined visions such as - to attract pupils’ interest in English through interactive activities, to encourage children to talk in English, to lessen the pupils’ feeling of shy in the language and also to promote the creative talents and leadership qualities of students. We begin the language club along with the reopening of school and organize various activities to enhance the language skills. We are planning a variety of activities in accordance with the important day celebrations like Reading Day, Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, Hiroshima & Nagasaki Days, Gandhi Jayanthi, Children’s Day, Christmas, New Year Day, Republic Day, Martyr’s Day, etc. We are organizing competitions like drawing, elocution, recitation, literary writings, debates etc. to improve the language proficiency and reinforce the children by awarding some gifts. They are preparing posters, placards, slogans, messages, magazines and also presenting choreography, role plays, monologues, soliloquies as well as skits. The English club is also coordinating the preparation of academic master plans inculcating the techniques of “Hello English”, one of the ambitious projects of SSK designed with a view to improve the quality of learning the language.  

We are concluding each year’s activities with an annual English fest in which kids from pre-primary to students of VIIth std are participating and distributing mementos & certificates to the winners of the events conducted at the valediction of the function.
