Aptitude test- Awareness class
An awareness session on the aptitude test for the 2025–28 Little Kites batch was organized under the guidance of senior Little Kites members.
Details regarding the pattern of questions in the aptitude test, the advantages of becoming a part of Little Kites, initiatives that foster social responsibility among students, the grace marks granted after the Class 10 board examination, additional points for Plus Two admissions, and the method used by KITE to prepare the rank list were effectively communicated to the newcomers by the senior students. A sample certificate was exhibited on the notice board, and the senior Little Kites students are also overseeing the certificate distribution process.
Aptitude test

A total of 90 children have registered in LKMS for the entrance exam for the new batch of 2025–28. To prepare them for the exam, a WhatsApp group was created byu including all the registered students. Previous classes from the Victor's channel related to the exam and other training programs were shared at the class level. Additionally, a general orientation class was conducted for all the registered students on Tuesday 24 th June 2025, at the school.
The entrance test was conducted using specially designed software on the computer. The exam consisted of 20 questions and had a duration of 30 minutes. The aptitude test included questions on logic and reasoning, programming, and 5 to 7 questions based on ICT textbooks and general IT knowledge.
All 90 registered students appeared for the Little Kites Aptitude Test held on Wednesday, 25th June 2025. This year, 40 seats have been allotted to the school for admission. The exam results have been uploaded to the LKMS system. The test covered various topics such as IT technology, general knowledge, animation, and programming.
ID card and uniform distribution
ID cards and uniforms were distributed to the students of the 2025–28 batch at S.A.T Higher Secondary School on September 20, 2025 under the auspices of Little Kites.
The program was inaugurated by the Mr. MidhunNileshwara Master Trainer, uniforms were handed over to the students. In her inaugural speech, he stated that the Little Kites Club plays a crucial role in studies and co-curricular activities, and that the main objective of the club is to develop the ability to use technology in a creative and responsible manner.The School Headmistress, Smt. Surekha Mallya, also spoke at the event, inspiring the students with motivational words.
Kite mentors Kiran Kumar and Sushma Bangera G led the program. They explained the club's future activities, training programs, and various opportunities for students. They commented that such programs are very helpful in instilling a sense of responsibility and team spirit in students.
This brought great joy to the newly-joined children of the 2025–28 batch. The excitement and happiness on the children's faces made the ceremony memorable.
Software Freedom Day 2025
On September 20, 2025, the children of Little Kites 2025-27, who are members of the Free Software community, participated in a program held in the School Hall as part of the Free Software Day celebrations organized at the school level.
The program was inaugurated by Mr. Midhun P., Master Trainer, KITE, Kasaragod. As part of the celebration, several activities were conducted, including a quiz competition, animation training, games, robotics training, a parents’ awareness class, and a digital painting competition. The best posters were selected, shared on social media, and the students also took a pledge to promote the use of free software.

Preliminary Camp 2025
The Little Kites IT Club of S.A.T. Higher Secondary School, Manjeshwara, organized its first one-day training session for high school students on September 20, 2025. The training featured sessions on Scratch Programming, Robotics, Animation, and Quiz, which were handled by Mr. Midhun P. V., Manjeshwar Sub-District IT Mentor.
The programme was inaugurated by the Mr. Midhun P. V., Manjeshwar Sub-District IT Mento, who officially opened the session. In his address, The School Headmistress, Smt. Surekha Mallya, emphasized the growing importance of digital skills in the present era. He also highlighted the immense potential of Information Technology in shaping students’ futures and extended his best wishes to the training programme.
The event was anchored by Sri Kiran Kumar, Kite Mentor, extended a warm welcome. The vote of thanks was proposed by Kite Mentor Smt. Shushma Bangera G On this occasion, a parents’ meeting of the Little Kites members was also convened. The main objectives of the training were to make Little Kites members aware of their roles and responsibilities, provide a general understanding of Little Kites’ operational plans, equip them to support activities in high-tech classrooms, and ensure parental participation in these plans. Competitive group activities were planned in the camp, ensuring the active participation of each child. Points were awarded for each activity. The first group to complete the activity received 25 points, the second group 20 points, and then 15, 10, and 5 points.
Grouping
Based on the main theme of technology, the students started their activities by dividing into different groups. Using the image of face sensing, each group was given tasks on topics such as robotics, e-commerce, AI, GPS, and VR.
Impact of the Internet
A video was shown explaining the impact of the Internet on daily life and a list was prepared including its main concepts. Then, the students were taught how to use the Google search engine and its uses.
Video presentation
After showing the video Hi-Tech Kerala, the students analyzed and listed the facilities that schools under the Department of General Education have received through the Hi-Tech School Scheme. This activity gave a clear understanding to all the members about the objectives of the Little Kites Club.
Introducing the Little Kites Project
The main objective of this activity was to provide students with a clear understanding of the Little Kites project and the responsibilities of its members. This activity was implemented in the form of a quiz.
Role of Little Kites
Through this activity, the students were given a detailed understanding of the roles of Little Kites members and their action plans.
Game development
This activity was aimed at instilling coding skills in Little Kites members and introducing them to the Scratch interface. Through this, it was possible to give the students an understanding of Scratch programming.
Animation production
The aim of this activity was to introduce the field of animation, which is part of the Little Kites project, and the OpenToons software used for it. By animating the movement of a train, the students learned what animation production is like.
World of robots
The camp, which took place after lunch, featured discussions about robots. This activity was organized with the aim of gaining an understanding of the field of robotics as part of their activities by Little Kites members.
The class was taught in detail how a robot works and what its main components are. The students learned the basic concepts of robotics by building a 'chicken feeder' device using the sensors in the robotics kit. Through this, they got the opportunity to directly touch and operate the robotic devices.
Introducing Little Kites products
In this session, the products prepared by the students at the state camp were introduced. Through this, they got a clear understanding of the opportunities and possibilities that students get by joining the Little Kites Club.
Awareness class for parents
The session was conducted with the aim of understanding the importance of Little Kites Club and the role of parents in developing children's skills in technology. Parents were made aware of the working methods of the Little Kites project, the opportunities available to students through it, and how to ensure the cooperation of parents to make the activities more effective. The camp ended with the feedback of students and parents.
