<font size="5" font color="black" face="Noto Serif Kannada">ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಗೆ ಓದುವಾಗ ಅವರ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ನೀತುರಿನ ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಶಾನ ಬಾಟಲಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನೀರನ್ನು ಚೆಲುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ನೀತು ಬಂದು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಅನಿಷಾ ಅವಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಒಣಗಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇರುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ನೀತು ತಪ್ಪು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ಅವಳ ತರಗತಿಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಇದೇ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಮಯ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ನಿಶಾನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಮೂಡಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೀತು ನಂಬುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ನನ್ನ ಗೆಳತಿ ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡಿದಳು ಎಂದು ನೊಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಹೀಗೆ ಅವಳು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನ ನಿಶಾನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಅಂಕ ಗಳಿಸಬಾರದು ಎಂದು ಅವಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ ನಿಶಾ ತುಂಬಾ ನೊಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಆದರೂ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಪಠ್ಯಪುಸ್ತಕ ಓದಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಅಂಕಗಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಮುಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀತುಗೆ ಯಾರೋ ಒಬ್ಬರು ನಿಶಾ ಪುಸ್ತಕಕ್ಕೆ ನೀರು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ ನೀತು ತುಂಬಾ ನೊಂದುಕೊಂಡು ಯಾರೋ ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅನುಮಾನ ಪಟ್ಟೆ ಎಂದು ನಿಶಾನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ತಪ್ಪಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ನಿಶಾನ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಇದರಿಂದ ಅವಳು ನೀತು ವನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರು ಅನ್ಯೋನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಬಾಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.</font> | |||
