The CM highlighted the harmful effects of drug abuse and urged students to choose life over drugs. He emphasized the importance of physical activities like Zumba and regular exercise to keep young minds positively engaged and away from harmful habits.
At SDPHSS Dharmatadka, Little Kites students took the lead in setting up the projectors and arranging the screen, which enabled the smooth telecast of the CM’s live address in classrooms. Their technical support ensured all students could benefit from the inspiring session. </font>

<font size="5" color="black" face="Century Schoolbook L" font>June 4, Wednesday- A one day Little KITE Camp was successfully conducted at SDPHSS Dharamtadka on 4th June 2025, with the objective of enhancing IT skills among students, particularly in the area of video editing using the open-source software Kdenlive.
The event was inaugurated by our esteemed School Manager, Sri Shankarnarayan Bhat, who addressed the gathering and encouraged students to embrace technology as a powerful tool for learning and creativity. The School Headmaster, Sri.Shashi Kumar, also spoke on the occasion, inspiring students with his motivational words and extending his best wishes for the success of the camp.
The welcome speech was delivered by Sri. Pradeep K (SITC). The primary aim of the camp was to introduce students to the fundamentals of video editing, thereby developing their interest in digital media and strengthening their IT knowledge,
Under the guidance of the Resource Person (RP)  Sri.Lakshmeesha B, who played a key role in delivering the training and ensuring the smooth conduct of the sessions. students actively participated in hands-on sessions focused on various video editing techniques using Kdenlive software. They were given the task of capturing video clips  and were taught how to edit them effectively using the tools and methods demonstrated during the camp.
Smt Soumia , the Little KITE Mistress, and Sri Abhilash B, the Little KITE Master, were present throughout the day, assisting and mentoring the students at every step. Sri.Prashant Holla also graced the occasion with his presence and support.
The camp concluded with students sharing their feedback and expressing enthusiasm for the knowledge they gained.
As a token of appreciation, Soumia Teacher delivered the vote of thanks on behalf of the school, acknowledging the efforts of all the mentors and participants, especially RP Lakshmeesha Sir, for making the camp a grand success.

His timely arrival coincided with the vibrant Little KITE Camp being held on campus, where students were actively engaged in learning video editing and digital skills.
The DDE interacted with the participants and In his address, he stressed the transformative power of IT in education and the importance of equipping students with digital skills for the future. His words were both inspiring and encouraging students to embrace technology.
Joining the occasion, School Manager Sri Shankarnarayan Bhat extended a warm welcome to the DDE and commended the school’s commitment to fostering digital literacy through the Little KITE Camp.

Little Kites Master Abhilash B and Mistress Soumia M coordinated the process and guided the students throughout. SITC Pradeep K was also present, offering his support during the test.
The test aimed to identify students with interest and basic skills in ICT. Selected students will receive training in various IT areas as part of the little kites. The atmosphere was one of enthusiasm and curiosity among the participants.

The class began with a screening of 2D and 3D animation samples, which sparked curiosity and excitement among the students. A discussion followed on the science behind animation, exploring the differences between 2D and 3D techniques. Students were encouraged to actively participate by recalling concepts they had learned in the previous academic year.
 
To assess their understanding, students were asked to create an animation using TupiTube, applying skills acquired in earlier sessions. Instructions were clearly explained by the Little Kites Master and Mistress, Abhilash B and Soumia M respectively.

This session advanced the students' skills by introducing the importance of sound in animation and familiarizing them with OpenToonz, a professional 2D animation software.
 
Kite Master Abhilash B highlighted that sound is a vital component in making animation complete and impactful. Students were introduced to OpenToonz and shown its interface, including the startup window and key features. The method of importing sound and syncing it with animated frames was briefly demonstrated, giving students a clear idea of how to enhance their work technically.
 
The children were quick to grasp the possibilities the software offered, especially its capability to combine visuals with sound. On the second day of the session, they were given the opportunity to work independently in OpenToonz. The software’s user-friendly and advanced tools made it easier for the students to begin creating their own short animations.
 
The class was actively monitored by Headmaster Shashikumar P, who appreciated the students' interest and progress. The session marked a valuable step forward in the animation journey of the Little Kites, encouraging creativity backed by technical skill.

The third animation class for the 9th-grade Little Kites students of Sri Durgaparameshwari High School, Dharmatadka, was held on 28th June 2025. In this session, students were given the task of creating simple animations using the newly introduced OpenToonz software.
With the help of a projector, the children were shown how to add a background image, frame the objects, and save the animation as an MP4 video. They were given an activity to animate objects like an aeroplane and a dolphin, focusing on object movement and basic animation steps. The students enjoyed trying to move the objects and create short animated scenes.
 
Little Kites Master Abhilash B, guided the students throughout the session. Senior SSLC Little Kites students also extended their support in helping their juniors understand the software and complete their tasks effectively.
 
The session was closely monitored by the school Headmaster, Shashikumar P, who encouraged and appreciated the students’ efforts and enthusiasm.
 
The children were also introduced to the idea that they could draw pictures directly in OpenToonz and use them in their animations. With proper instructions and support, the students successfully created basic animations and learned how to handle the software better.
 
This session helped boost their confidence and gave them a clearer idea of how to work with animation tools creatively and independently.
