Lock down a fortune in disguise or terrible period? Every human being in this whole world is now aware of the mightiest epidemic that earth has ever witnessed, the novel coronavirus or ‘COVID-19’. Gradually this epidemic is becoming a pandemic which is dangerous to hear as an earthly fellow. The coronavirus outbreak, which originated in China, has killed more than 1,85,000 people and infected more than 26,70,000 people at present. Its spread has left business around the world counting costs. The whole economic system of the world is stunned by the bio attack of coronavirus. Marketing, sports, business, education, I.T field, manufacturing of products and many other sectors of employment has become stilled because of the aftereffects of this virus. Who knows when we can wipe out this epidemic from our earth, who knows how long it will take to cure the very last corona affected person, these unanswered questions are frightening the world to an extent. In late December 2019, a case unidentified pneumonia was reported in Wuhan, Hubei Province, People's Republic of China (PRC). Its clinical characteristics were very similar to those of viral pneumonia. After analysis of respiratory samples, the experts at the PRC Centers for Disease Control declared that the pneumonia, later known as novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP), was caused by a novel coronavirus. The World Health Organization (WHO) officially named the disease ‘COVID-19’.  The International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses named the virus ‘severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2’ (SARS-CoV-2). Now it has spread out to almost all parts of the earth. We can overcome this epidemic as an nation by following the rules that the responsible officers says, We should obey our Honorable Prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi by staying home to protect ourselves .This lockdown is for our safety, the government is also ensuring help by providing essential commodities to the public . When other types of disaster affect India or Kerala the authorities will say to stay together to overcome, but different from other disasters we should practice social distancing to be safe. Even if we are staying at home we should follow personal hygiene by washing our hands in definite interval of time with soap and water or alcohol based hand sanitizers. At first the lockdown was for 21 days from March 23, but for our own safety the lockdown was extended to May 3. Many of us will consider this lockdown period as a boring period, but I’ll say this period is a gift in disguise. Most of you would want to end this lockdown as soon as possible,majority people of the society would have also thought that it would be so boring to stay at home for more than a month. To an extent it can be tedious, but we can make it reverse. Almost all members of the family would be spending their time by using mobile phones, laptops or etc… try to keep all family members’ mobile phones at a place for some time and do any other activity and also ask all family members to co-operate for example, play indoor games like caroms, ludo, chess, cards etc… you won’t be aware of how time passes, happiness will flow through all family members. We can also utilize this period by learning something new that we wanted to learn but can’t learn because of your busy days. If you’re a father then you would be busy with your job, if you’re a mother and also you’re a house wife you would be busy with household chores, if you’re a student you would be busy with your academic studies. Almost all members in a family would be busy with their own activities. But no one will say that they don’t have time at this lockdown period, this is the best time to build up your talent with the help of modern technology. If you’re trying something new dish try it but just remember that this is lockdown period, so be careful and cautious while preparing this is because we can’t waste food materials. If we are obeying our responsible officers and staying home and staying safe then we are doing national service. This is the least which we can do for our nation, it may be least for us but if all families in our country will do this service perfectly, then even the finest particle of coronavirus will not be in India. But the service provided by us will not be near to the service provided by the doctors, nurses, hospital staffs, police officers, government officers etc… we can’t forget the service they provide for us they’re our real super heroes. They stay away from their home to keep the public stay home and stay safe, they are struggling between their life and death for the society. The country and the people should be always thankful for them and their services.
