Our Mother is Dying Kerala is a land with lots of diversities. The diversity in nature gave it the title “Gods own Country” The land of God, Kerala is the gift of Arabian sea. Meandering rivers, beautiful lagoons, exotic beaches and breath taking hill stations are the unique characters of Kerala. The key elements of nature such as sea and nature attracts the whole world. The environment attracted and inspired poets. We can see the heavenly beauty of nature in these poems. This could be considered as elements from past. Now Kerala produces 500 ton waste each day. Many scientists says that due to climate change temperature will increase up to 4.5 degree Celsius after 100 years. In 2017 Cyclone Okhi came to Southern part of India due to the increase in the temperature of Arabian sea. In the Eastern part of India the amount of rain decreased to38%. About 18,170 hectare of forest was destroyed because of wild fire between the year 2009-2014. We all should think these all happened because of us. It is our responsibility to protect our environment. If we continue this it may lead us to disaster. We all should maintain beauty of our nature, not for us fr the coming generation. Otherwise they will think of us that of someone who destroyed the Mother and left nothing for them to enjoy. We should not allow that. We should bring our environment back. We must work together to save her.
