| ചന തുടങ്ങി. ആത്മകഥാപരമായ നാലു നോവലുകളും രണ്ടു യാത്രാവിവരണങ്ങളും<br>

| ഒരു കവിതാ സമാഹാരവും പ്രസിദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തിയ മെൽവിന്റേതായുണ്ട്. മൊബി ഡി<br>

| ക്ക് ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ളകൃതികളെല്ലാം വൻ പരാജയമായി. മെൽവിന്റെ മരണത്തിനു<br>

| മുപ്പതു വർഷത്തിനു ശേഷം,പ്രസിദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തിയയതിന്റെ 71- മത്തെ വർഷം <br>

| നോവലിന്റെയുംനോവലിസ്റ്റിന്റെയും മഹത്ത്വം ലോകം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. ലോകചരി<br>

| ത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മഹത്തായ10 കൃതികളിൽ ഒന്നായി ലോകം ഇന്ന് മൊബി ഡി<br>

| ക്കിനെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു.വിധി ഒരിക്കലും ദയവു കനിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത മെൽവിന്റെ വിശ്വോത്തര<br>

| ക്ലാസിക്കാണ് മൊബി ഡിക്ക് 1921ൽ മൊബിഡിക് തിരിച്ചരിയപ്പെട്ടതിനു ശേഷം<br>

| അവസാന കാലത്ത് അദ്ദേഹം രചിച്ച 'ബില്ലിബഡ് 1924 ൽ പുറത്തു വന്നു.ജീവി<br>

| തകാലത്ത് 'റ്റൈപ്പി' എന്ന ഒരു കൃതി മാത്രമാണു അൽപ്പമെങ്കിലും,ശ്രദ്ധയാകർ<br>

| ഷിച്ചത്. മൊബി ഡിക്ക് ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള സൃഷ്ടികൾ ലോകപ്രശംസ നേടുമ്പോളും<br>

| അതു കാണാൻ വിധി മെൽവിനെഅനുവദിച്ചില്ല. 1891ൽ അദ്ദേഹം അന്തരിച്ചു.
