HYGIENE Hygiene, as defined by the WHO refers to “the conditions and practices that help maintain health and prevent the spread of diseases”. Health is a real wealth , we are hearing this is our very early childhood. To maintain the good health we need to follow the basic hygiene and sanitation in our daily life. 1.Cleaning hands before eating something. 2.Cleaning hands and other body parts after using toilet. 3.Taking a good bath everyday 4.Using face mask in doors of polluted location. 5.Using proper soaps, hand wash and stuffs related to hygiene and sanitation. By adopting such a practice, we not only make ourselves healthier but also improve the quality of our lives. Public hygiene refers to discarding waste that means, waste segregation and recycling regular disinfection and maintenance of the water reservoir. Quality of hygiene in the kitchens is extremely important to prevent diseases. Now a day, Covid-19 spreading all over the world and about 1.5 lakhs of people died. One of the main precaution measures to control this pandemic disease is public hygiene. So personal hygiene is an inevitable factor for every human being .The only effective tool to destroy the virus is by washing hands using soap or sanitizer and this is ultimate way to acquire personal hygiene ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH In the present scenario, the relevance on environmental health has been increasing. Environmental Health can be defined as the aspect of public health that is concerned with all forms of life, substances, forces, problems and challenges in the surroundings of human beings that may exert an influence health and well-being. OBJECTIVES OF PUBLIC HEALTH 1.The sanitation of environment. 2.The control of communicable disease. 3.Education in personal hygiene. 4.Organisation of health service of every diagnosis and preventionof disease. 5. The development of social machinery to ensure everyone astandard of living for maintenance of health If every country achieved their public health objectives, they can control easily Covid-19 like pandemic diseases. Public health status of the people but also the financial status of that country.
