ENVIRONMENT: Endangered? The place around us is called our environment. It is our responsibility to keep it safe and clean for the better living of every living being. But sadly, what is the condition of it now? Neglected, attacked, damaged and polluted. Who caused the situation? We, the Human beings. Took the nature and its resources for granted. Human beings are said to be the most intelligent creatures in the world. And yes, we used that intelligence to innovate and invent. We built many factories and industries in the name of development. The smoke emitted from factories choked the sky, effluent waters poisoned the rivers and sea, plastics and electronic wastes spoiled the earth. We could have invented new technologies keep in mind that that nature does not get polluted and affected. We could have and should have lived in harmony with nature. But no. We forgot to think about nature when we were busy thinking about our pleasure and easy life. "The Earth does not belong to us; we belong to the Earth." These words were said by Marlee Martin. We all think that the Earth is for us. We can use it in any way we want and the earth provides us more. No. We belong to the Earth. We ought to protect and provide nature the care it needs and it helps us back by giving us the resources. We have damaged nature to an extent that our life here on this planet will come to an end soon. The variety of species of animals is either extinct or endangered because of our selfish and greedy actions. Most of the forests were ravaged. Many watercourses were encroached or made to disappear. Would us be happy if they did the same, we did to them, to us? Absolutely not. Tsunami and floods are some samples. Don't think only about your personal pleasures by killing the resources. Think about nature too. Don't cut the trees, they are the source of our oxygen. Don't pollute the water bodies, they are the source of our life. Don’t pollute the land, it is the source of our vital food. We have to make this world a better place for the future generation. If we don't take action, all living beings are going down with nature. Our ancestors protected it for us and now let us to do the same to our future generations. Environment is like a ship in which we travel. When we continuously and carelessly damage it and fail to take care of it, our journey will come to end soon, and we will perish with it. We have to stop all the damage happening to our Earth to save all living beings including humans and animals and birds. Let us do this. It is not impossible. We can make this possible, if every human being joins together to stop nature from being killed.
